  1. Believer or non believer it doesn't matter. Messing around with these things will screw you're head up either way.
  2. Well the bad points don't seem too serious, 5-6,000 maybe?
  3. In 3 zeds i have tried every variation possible, but no matter what speakers you put in the rear housing you just won't get a good bass responce. The best sound possible in a Zed without spending a fortune is as follows. 1.Decent head unit with an amp or sub output 2.Good set of 6x9's/components in the front .I've cut out the door panels rather than fitting to the actual door because they will stop the window going all the way down in most cases. I also find there's a warmer sound. Put some foam from an old pillow or something in the door cavity. 3. If the original rear speakers are not blown, leave them there, believe it or not they actually have very good acoustics used with the rest of the stereo upgrade. 4. Most important but not that expensive, a half decent amp which will tuck nicely into the left hand side under the boot cover, driving a good bass tube. I Apologise to all serious "ice" experts. I know nothing of ohms, output range and all that stuff i just don't understand it,....all I know is what my ear tells me! :)
  4. Hi, Is it possible to change the universal joint on the steering column without getting underneath the car? It's difficult to access from the top but if there were some other way i'd give it a go myself. cheers.
  5. got the very same thing, fitted ebc discs and kevlar pads 3 months ago. little irritating noise from time to time, but far more efficient brakes.
  6. why oh why oh why do some people want to make their Zed look like a ferrari or lambourghini ..... To be fair the original Z32 designers "stole" ideas from European and American sportscars and integrated them into the car. It's influences are very clear when you look at it, but people who drive around in a Zed with things stuck onto it, "look at me, i'm driving an old nissan that looks like a ferrari" should be f*cking shot. They give us all a bad name.. :nono:
  7. Wow, nice motor fella! Isn't there a song that goes "she lives on my block, and drives an iroc" or something like that? Anyway, happy motoring!
  8. In 1980 I would've murdered my whole family just to touch magnums ferrari.............and chopped them into little pieces to sit in it..............I was 11... but on reflection, I would've used a sharp axe , just to make it quick.
  9. Went to my mam's during the week for lunch , and watched 20 minutes of sam running around in a water fight where her bikini bottoms kept falling down. I love it. pure shite but I love it

You came good though Craig, You came good! A fortune spent I would imagine but I just love you're Zed, new mods look good too. will probably copy you're bodystyling at some stage, but don't worry I live far away!
  11. Yes it is quite ironic that the picture in my wallet is the very thing that keeps it empty, but it does have sentimental value as it was my first Zed. And to really rub it in, every time I open it I remember how I bought that manual n/a (a georgeous clean Zed) for £8000 Irish pounds (before that f*cking euro ) and sold it when my son was born a couple of years later in a panic for 3,500 euro. Litterally gave it away :headvswal Yes we all learn by our mistakes , and i don't mean getting you're mrs up the duff either :duffer:
  12. Thanks Chris, gonna have a look there now. this noise has got to be stopped fast.
  13. I know it's not the front shocks but this is the most annoying sound, and I had it on my previous Zed which went away after a few weeks, but it's just cropped up again on this one, especially in dry weather. I was told before the name of the offending joint but can't remember. Only way to describe it is when you're driving, sounds like an old pram is in you're glove box. On the outside it sounds like you're driving an old pram :o
  14. Hi, don't Know you but you're interior is the dogs bol**cks!!! Fair play to you, and happy anniversary! By the way, where did you get you're white speedo clocks from?
  15. best advice is to keep them! You probably won't get much for them, I bought a really good set on here from a member for 50 quid. They got me out of a hole while my alloys were being re-done. But i'm going to keep them now out of sentimental value. Also if you ever decide to sell you're zed you can put them back on and keep you're good alloys for you're next Zed. :D
  16. Hi If you give Mike Feeney at MJP a ring he might get you sorted. Just seen he's breaking an auto tt . His number is on the traders forum. He's also an extremely helpful guy on anything about any of the Z range. Guy's a genius .
  17. And by the way , shouldn't you be studying?! :D
  18. for what that eedgit spent fannying around with that little girls blouse american heap o' shite I could've bought myself a nice swb tt manual. :headvswal
  19. Hi Chris, Welcome and best of luck on your Z hunt. :duffer: :duffer: :duffer:
  20. sorry yami, just not to my taste at all. For me, it takes from the smooth lines of the car.
  21. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and you're children Mick and Adell.
  22. OK, please help me here i'm a bit confused. I have plans for an auto to manual conversion before the year is out. If the auto turbo's are smaller and designed to suit an auto box, how will there be a smooth marriage to the manual box? I can see some of you have had this done, so are there problems to consider down the line? It's one big and bloody expensive job, (specially for me cos I'll have to take my Z over to the UK to have it done).
  23. Definitely wasn't standard thank God . i's , v's and numbers are for mere mortal souped up hatchbacks and coupe's. Nissan (or Fairlady z ) on the left, twin turbo on the right , thats the way it was in the beginning....and so shall be to the end.
  24. I'm 35 and right now my mrs. is shouting across the room "when you gonna grow up and sell that fecking car?" ......... :x:
