130 of these magnificent ships are birthed in my town for the next 2 days , and will leave saturday morning on full sail for the first leg of the race to cherbourg. Imagine what it feels like to pay £150 for a plane ticket, arrive at the airport to buy a Zed which you've been told umpteen times over the phone "look mate, i've been dealing in these for years and I would have to say this is the cleanest fresh import i have ever seen" arrive At the airport. wiper switch missing...............rear and front seats torn..........scratches on the paintwork.....electric seat switches missing.........No radio and all the plastic bits in the stereo compartment ripped out and broken..... and the most gaulling of all.....No z badge on steering wheel. :cry: I still bought it because it did have a clean engine and he promised me he would locate these bits and post them on to me. He never did, as a matter of fact when I called him he said " What do you expect? you told me my car was a peice of shit..mate" That was my previous Zed which I restored to its glory through great expense and then drove it back to the UK two years later to trade in for my current one, which I bought from a dealer again not as bad as the first time, but I had driven 600 miles from Ireland to buy It, so I wasn't going to waste more money. Anyway, that's dedication for ya...or stupidity :rofl:

Thats a shock! as you know yours is my favourite Zed on the forum. But I must say i was in the same position as you a few years ago. I Could see the effect it had on my family , so sold it for peanuts,...If there is any way possible, keep it greg..mothball it if you have to. there will come a time again.

I do have an oil leak at the moment , which i've been told by the mechanic the gearbox needs to be dropped to replace the oil seal. Very small amount of oil leaking, but could it have any connection?

Noticed when I started up this morning boost gauge only went halfway, where it normally would go all the way to the right when I start Up. I'm hoping It's just warm weather. Reason I'm asking is because someone told me when I was buying this tt that It should Always go to the right when it's cold. Is it possible turbo's are on the way out? I don't feel any difference while driving, and no smoking either.

Look, It's the same over here, but at least we all have homes with fridges, cookers, food , .....normal every day things. Yes there are homeless people and poverty , but it's a minority. Would an ecu diagnostic show if it were in safety mode? If it gave 55 all clear is it still possible it's operating in safety mode?. I owned two n/a's before this tt and even though it is quicker, I would expect a lot more given that it's got an upgraded exhaust and air filter.

My wife , who's mother passed away when she was 10 years old has an understandable fascination with all things spiritual, and as much as she would like to contact a medium , and hopefully contact her mother, It deeply worries me what the longterm concequenses would be, If something negative came from it.
