customs seized my zed this evening
thanks fellas, Been seized because you're supposed to pay the duty within 28 days (I went over to the uk last december to buy it). so yes i've been a bad boy this time , but never done it before. As I've said I had other things of priority. They can if they want ask me to pay 30% of the cars value for every month over i've had it here. ..........It depends on this particular Sh*t head who took it. I think he will.....

customs seized my zed this evening
Thing is, I've had it in lock up and only driven it a couple of times since I got a warning a few weeks ago. been trying to get the 1,400 euro together since then. finished a hard days slog today , decided to bring it back to my house and get the paperwork ready to bring it to the tax office tomorrow to pay the duty....I sh*t you not .....tomorrow the duty was being paid. two guys in a Discovery were hidden in some trees outside the industrial estate where I work, waiting for me. I asked them to wait while I removed the very expensive pioneer sound system installed (which was taken out of my old Zed). No chance . "anything fixed to the car stays in the car" Before anyone thinks I'm looking for sympathy for being very stupid, I'm not. I'm quite capable of feeling sorry for myself :(   They've asked me to go the government buildings tomorrow morning to see if anything can be done , but knowing this particular guy i would fooking doubt it . Sickening thing is I've spent a lot of cash upgrading and replacing parts which i've been doing since Christmas, Where on my previous zeds I've given the government money first , then found i don't have a lot of cash to spend. I Know i've not been on here very long but ask you guys to say a couple of prayers for me tonight! the chances of anything positive happening tomorrow are slim, and the fact some of these dirty customs guys will eventually sell it at some private auction for a handy bit of cash is making my blood boil........

guardian angel
yes, its the name of a song from the early eighties which i have been searching for on amazon for the last hour. Want to get it for the wife as a surprise because she loves it and always asking about it in record shops with no luck. It's sung by some cheesy italian /spanish guy, but no-one seems to know the artist. goes "I feel im falling apart cos i know i've lost my guardian angel" or something like that. Anyone please

In all honesty, how reliable is your TT??
If it's any use bud, I've been driving mine through this hot weather daily for the past couple of weeks. took a long spin with the wife and kids yesterday, no probs at all. as said in previous posts there are a couple of things that are a problem , ptu's , and rear shocks another. But well looked after, a 300zxtt should give you no trouble only a big grin on your face!

Should i get shot of the missus????
doesn't matter what she looks like, If she's affecting you're quality of life it's time to say goodbye. fit looking women and fantastic personalities rarely go together.

"training wheels" !!!!
My first zed was a manual n/a , then i went to an auto n/a. never found difference in performance, but I do remember 3-4th gear was very notchy on the manual. I now have a tt auto, but having the same thoughts as you on the conversion! however, I think sometimes theres a bit of snobbery from manual owners. I think the auto is very smooth considering the powerful engine.

What should I do......

How much is this car worth - for sale and rare one owner
If he's so wealthy, why can he (or you) not afford 20 quid fee, and put it in the for sale section where it probably would've sold an hour ago? An autotrader ad costs more than that :D

sounds a bit suss to me too. It just doesn't add up, a 70 year old buying a new Z in silver which was not available in silver in the UK(that doesn't make sense either). I'm 35 and not in bad shape, but the low seating can be a bit of stress on my back sometimes. If it's for real, he must be a hell of a guy and owned some motors in his time! And someones going to get one sweet Zed ;)

Cos thats all i'll be able to afford :headvswal ,

sorry for being thick, but what is the small radiator in front of the main one for?

bombers
It's been a number of years since 9/11. It's a wonder it's taken this long for these sicko's to hit Britain, but a credit to you're intellegence agencies for holding them off that long. It's scary to think what they are capable of doing, but someone is definitely doing their job. 70 lives taken is horrendous, but small if you take into consideration what these murderers could acheive were they free to roam about unnoticed everyday. and I don't think british tabloids blazing 07/07 is very clever either. that's exactly what these lunatics love to see, and would no doubt have it framed and on their wall.

Is the 300ZX really an "every day" supercar?
- LMGDAO - comment in rides section
well it sure wasn't black :xxx:- 99 Spec Conversion "Rear Lights"
If you do decide to go with the conversion, really be careful when warming them in the oven. When i did mine , I didn't leave them in long enough. Was able to open them quite easily, but when putting them back together they had gone quite cold and were a bit of a struggle. But I would imagine in our current weather, you shouldn't have that problem. Anyway, I'm perfectly happy with mine.- Who owns the best stock car?
What about Paul Willetts (member on here?) who won the concourse award at billing. A very nice white stock car, It's featured in Zclub magazine. - LMGDAO - comment in rides section
