  1. hahahahahaha.... quite a good read this one. So much anti-vegetation out pouring. ..and my favourite weed killer..comes in bag quite cheap from all good DIY stores, premixed for you pleasure, 100% effective all year round after one application. It's called Concrete.
  2. should have began that post with an 'If.... DOH!
  3. you get no joy from the above. I can make you what you need if you give exact dimensions. prob find some loger bolts too. then meet up at Mkeynes to pick um up. ..expect a mod will be all.. 'you cant sell anything' following this.---- they'd be gratis. completely. I'll check back in a day or two.
  4. To be straight with you, I feel you have not clearly expressed the problem which means I am guessing.. but ooh, I'd like to help so here goes. :) could you get a longer bolt to go through from top to bottom and any gaps be held/filled/spaced with a peice of tube cut to length, from a length you could easily buy from B&Q Wickes or similar. therefore with One long bolt it goes... bolt head-bracket-spacer-seat-floor. fingers crossed, not wires crossed I hope!
  5. haha yes, Yowser . I knew you were cool. (presumptions.. no.. questions..yes. curious) The seat saving is worthy. I have the motor version and have not moved it since finding a setting. so why lug the motors around? why do we?Why?
  6. I like you Yowser. I do. but I'm gunna pick at your post. (mostly cost I have an hour t kill.) i know you like a good correspondence so lets have it.. haha.
  7. "Just seam's a bit odd to do this to a car you dont intend to drive a lot" -oooh I love that. hehehe. I'm gunna use that quote on every post for the next five years. hehehe.
  8. I like it and will try to vote if I spy how to in a min... (but think you mightn't do so well cos Macca did exactly that at Glastonbury. Alot of people will know that -Sorry for the news)
  9. where on earth are any other cylinder banks? they already have one where I pretty much would expect to find the radio. Briliant!
  10. stop arguing you both know the conclusion= larger brakes are for the large numbers (speed and application qty) to bring you from the realm where stock brakes cannnot be effective. but then there's intial higher cost Vs less wear arguement. and space available. and bragging rites down the Meet. and we havn't even began on various mat'ls properties yet which totally opens the game....hehehe
  11. really well done, Redwine. you should be proud. Splicing is fine. as for emissions.. the car model is unimportant. Emissions are against which legislation was being inforced at the year of manufacture. A 350Z is Euro IV. which is half the limits of Euro III which is an amazingly different test to Euro II. Yes the man went wrong there. a new set of sparks, a clean earthing point and original air filter will help the Thc down, perhaps significantly which in turn effects all other levels. best of luck. I'm impressed.
  12. can anyone explain the .. whatever has happened in the orange engine bay ( one from last pic). WTF? hahaha.
  13. a test really needs repeatabilty. can you ensure you push the pedal down with the same force each time? In Germany you are expected to be able to contort the pedal!! At this pressure you will be close to breaking the seat. gulp. I'd suggest when you do this test on a closed circuit, that is shared with other test pilots & has road markings and traffic and speed limits and looks just like a normal road... choose a start speed (eg 70) but measure the test from 10 mph less ( so thats 60)down to a min of 15 mph. A stop watch is not ok/a laptop consult is accurate and can be recorded. failing that, film the speedo with a video camera. hope that gives you an idea.
  14. still getting 32.5mpg -N/A. still not been overtaken. Even took the Zed all the way (without checking under the bonnet first)to Devon- thats trust, that is! about 300 miles from 120K & no leaks or drips. gets left in public carparks at weekends. Drivers targa roof make a annoying 'cracking' sound over bumps being the only complaint.
  15. I bet every day is a happy one when you are Pablito. So whilst I acknowledge your birthday, secretly inside myself and others are jealous and really want to be you ........ if it wasn't for that gay alice-band. hehe. enjoy.
  16. these cars(Almera) are brilliant. the SR20 engine is strong as an Ox and gives 150 BHP. sadly the runnings a bill jumpy at 30mph cos they never smoothed the fueling out in the ECU after uprating it from 120BHP in the primeraGT. Rust protection is very good on these so any signs are just crash evidence. Boot space is massive, folding seats give a cavenous space if you remove the rear strut brace you can transport a fridge freezer. The radio comes with a quality cd player (it plays copied CD's yey!) The bumpers are really flexy so carpark folly is never a drama. and if it needs new shocks I have a set brand new and boxed. the only exhaust probs might be the protection on the flex joint just below the bulk head. again I have an intermediate exhaust part brand new sat around. yours if you need them. oooh and an indicator unit. I bought one of these with 100k showing and drove it to 150k (like a gti should be driven)without a hiccup. only expense ever shelled out for was new brake lines to rear. it requires the petrol tank to be removed. £200. but 45 mpg (fast to moderate)all day. 55 on motorway. 35 if giving it some serious abuse. stearing is light and twitchy(likes to follow road banding) to the timid, but just sensative offering input really. recommended.
  17. I'm starting to think this is just a wind up hahahahaha.
  18. you are quite an interesting one CBVD. who 'just' takes off their front bumper. I have simliar, but quite happy to accept, crunched front left. causes me no more concern than really minor pressure to keep it from steering left. The Jeff thing seems to be a fave on this forum. He does the cambelt with the check. If you are car enthusiatic, lets say, you dont need that journey. Drive it around. Breathe. use your ears. accept RWD is not like FWD. your turbo's will act like every turbo in history. Read. do what you can. dont do what you can't.
  19. its just a drift assist toy. stiffer engine mounts can break exhausts or where ever the weak link is. so instead fit this damper to lessen flex during gear change (drifting mainly). A little tinkling is telling me you could fit this to lessen a fault...... I'll leave that for now but.. £30? thats new wipers and an oil change. keep the reciepts and impress the next owner far more I'm thinking.
  20. Ok i'm just gunna stroll in and ruin the whole party. ready. Dear Rob, why are you floging the missus. Right now she's in a state of amazed/relieved/wonder/and learning so much. In months this will have passed and it gets crappy/teethy/sneezy/forever wiping the floor. I would like to turn the tables and say, Mr Holland, why dont you get a better paid job? You could. -haha Devils advoca and all that... but... whatever it is you do for extra cash- you do it together. 50/50. Because right now she might, but soon she won't count turning up with a check to pay bills as your 50%. Its a bit pap but you need more than a child and a pretty face right now. You need something like a distraction, to help cling to the time before the baby. Remember how you both enjoyed that bit.
  21. Actually I know what they do with the knock senser. it doesn't even work/get used above certain revs. I'd prob not be bothered. depends on price of a used one.
  22. knock senser. outer casing does nothing. but your's is off and it's a generic part so take a trip to a parts supplier or scrap yard and say 'I have a Nissan'.
  23. think it gets around... poss i saw this in a Aylesbury tuners late last years. 'track' interior too.
  24. Hi. To reset the learing of the ecu concerning the O2 sensors and AFM etc is it three ignitions on and three ignitions off. This is exactly what works on newer Nissans. what do you know????? these are old cars.My Nissan knowledge only goes back so far. and its toooooooo late in the evening to go try these things... hehe.
