i had two of these before i got the zed :-) was good fun, but nothing on the TT zed lol. that is the best model to go for, but getting in and out of the back wasn't the easiest though. look out for bottom end problems with the SR20DE, my firts one went pop, and my second was going the same way. (i did thrash it a bit too harshly though)

Cheers, I've emailed the dude, see if its still available. Gotta sell Glanza first, had loads of enquiries but no-one's actually turned up to see it yet.

Love the look of the GTi, looks a bit like a Pulsar. Noot too worried about back seat issues, Tash is tiny and used to our coupes/small 3 door cars, and she rides up front with me if Marc's not with us

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ What they said....lol

Haven't had one myself, but at Rising Sun show, I was talking with Holladrob about the cars he had, and he had 2 of these as he has said above, well worth listening to his and Chris's advice there.

The one you are looking at looks very nice Janus, well worth the money by the looks of it.

100,000 miles and its been owned by a boy racer!

Sounds like a recipe for good long term durability

My sister had one of the lower spec models and it went on and on and on..

Reckon you could do a lot worse than one of these, never heard much about the handling though - presume its reasonable enough.

If you wanted a GTi model I'd keep looking and try and find one thats just had its 60k service and, therefore, offers a bit of a better long term proposition. Also try and find one that hasn't been modded!

I'm guessing he knows its a 140mph car because...

I drive exactly like that and I wouldn't buy a car from me either! :stupid:

i still have a decat pipe, and spare plenum. if you happen to get it you can have them if there any good to ya

Thats v kind of you, cheers! The seller hasn't got back to me so he either hasn't checked his ad on pistonheads or its sold and he can't be arsed lol. Looks good in the ads tho, and mpg not *too* bad according to reviews

We'll see, I just cannot bring myself to buy another "sensible" car for uni, it'll have to have a bit of something about it or I'll be selling up again in weeks like with the Corolla lol

these cars(Almera) are brilliant. the SR20 engine is strong as an Ox and gives 150 BHP. sadly the runnings a bill jumpy at 30mph cos they never smoothed the fueling out in the ECU after uprating it from 120BHP in the primeraGT.

Rust protection is very good on these so any signs are just crash evidence. Boot space is massive, folding seats give a cavenous space if you remove the rear strut brace you can transport a fridge freezer. The radio comes with a quality cd player (it plays copied CD's yey!) The bumpers are really flexy so carpark folly is never a drama.

and if it needs new shocks I have a set brand new and boxed. the only exhaust probs might be the protection on the flex joint just below the bulk head. again I have an intermediate exhaust part brand new sat around. yours if you need them. oooh and an indicator unit.

I bought one of these with 100k showing and drove it to 150k (like a gti should be driven)without a hiccup.

only expense ever shelled out for was new brake lines to rear. it requires the petrol tank to be removed. £200.

but 45 mpg (fast to moderate)all day. 55 on motorway. 35 if giving it some serious abuse.

stearing is light and twitchy(likes to follow road banding) to the timid, but just sensative offering input really. recommended.

tis a very good car :-) i bought a dishwasher from b&q then had to nip back in to buy a spanner to whip off the rear strut brace lol, but it really is like a small van if you put the seats down. i had a lot of fun with mine :-)

mine had very stiff suspension though, and combined with low profile tyres it wasnt the most comfy ride lol
