  1. if you do 24 hours of Voluntary work a week you can claim for council tax relief. Thats standard, but the 'depending factors' determine how much you can claim. It can go as far as 100% relief (so you dont pay a penny all year) cos my local council gives that. good luck.
  2. Hopefully some sensitive soul will give you a concise answer, but until that happens... I'm a little lost as to what you expect to be available. Nissan out-source most things cept the chassis/panels and short block. Sourcing 300zx parts will be hindered due to 'Z'cars(whole) are handled by Japan main plant only (thus includes 350 and 370)... but a wiseman could maybe travel down the VQ30 route for eng spares (eg-the maxima/Vq exec car) cos(you mention shell bearings) its the same short block. either way... I'll ask a question at the eng dept and see what comes back.(probably a 'how long ago...!!! type answer)
  3. sound exactly the same size as barrels they use for transporting special fuel. (get to a race meet and ask teams for a nose thru their rubbish), but yeah, we use lots of similar plastic/metal barrels to contain neat coolant and oils for machinery. A farmer would have loads of these discarded, clogging up out-houses and derelict barns, which you can help yourself to if he's not around. :-)
  4. from ya photo it looks like ya original nuts have been replaced by the more modern Nissan chrome closed 22mm nut. I did that too!
  5. did you go into 'control panel' and check it wasn't the screen saver/power off timers? and just so you don't feel alone..my internet went last night (so missed the brilliant cricket). it was all down to useage tho. seems ever bugger was at home boxingday requesting the gay porn, so its back on today (cos ever bugger has gone shopping instead).
  6. generous grease is all a battery terminal ever dreams of cos they hate frost.* But I'd bin that trickle charger faster than Lohan can sniff.* If leaving your batt/car for a month (for example) simply remove the negative (black)lead and secure away from terminal. The batt will last years, and no pre-charging, with this treatment. naturally, if you have no secure parking and an alarm-I realise I am just making you laugh. no drama.
  7. ermmm no. I couldn't do that- Just to relax you a little. I was just guessing..can't believe I got it bang on the money. what were the chances?? anyhow..(hope ya santa gets his eng running sweet.) Merry Christmas and a Happy ending to all
  8. being a bit of a computer genius I have retreived the so-called deleted post... and it was "well Tudor..you get a large weighty object, & you stand well back but not too far. and on release you think about how bank balances can sometimes reflect on recent actions.." heheheh !!- glad you survived the ordeal tho, cos I've seen similar done many atime...(and now you know rule N#1.)
  9. Dunno what you lot are on about.. looks to me like that Fella's mother-in-law has escaped!
  10. Also there is no comparison between Auto box Vs Manual. Manuals will always triumph big time. Only one person mentions there type in this thread. and anyone non-turbo with aftermarket air intakes are going to suffer. I'd be most interested in what spark plugs everyone has. It matters. (running temps/makes) eg the (recommended but..)non standard Bosch on the 350Z are more prone to mis-fire.....ooh god I'm wittering on like a drunk Uncle at Xmas, sorry.
  11. haha/..ooh lordy, I could write a book on this cos I used to do it for a living, but just to stick a few more ideas into the mud.. 1)Nissan fear 'knock' and throw fuel at the problem. only V.recently could anyone measure knock at top revs. 2)O2 sensers learn (incl your driving style) and react slowly over time to changes. You can simply reset the learning if any doubt. 3)to calc MPG Cars are driven thru a very strict drive cycle with little error/variation so are comparable..yet we drive like________on_____with some____ and no______!!! hahahaha.
  12. Sherrgar replied to ZX-TT's topic in Events - UK
Crooked Billet between Ayles and Bicester would be showy with carpark open to passing A-41 and an obv find to those not to local. plus he is open to events.. heard he's holding almost a rave for New years eve.
  13. turned channel over to watch...and it's all over. happy and sad.
  14. wiping away the tears!...then laughed some more about your comment: thumbsup: thanks guys... my mates on holiday at the mo so he'll be the last to see it lol -just brilliant!
  15. I also run a Pug 206 gti. Its horrible. I loath its existance...still.... damn nippy off the blocks. Cheap, recent and low mileage cars are plentiful, and the stereo/speaker set up is great quality. Can't wait to sell it!!! roll on springtime.
  16. concerning the minimise further damage part:if the exhaust is off( and I have to assume the car is outside if the hoses froze) do not let air roam freely around the ports. stuff a rag up the manifold or tape over the ports depending on what is still attached. Think of your valves and rings!!!!! ooh and could add that coolant acts as a anti-corrosive aid, not just helping with the freezing probs. buy a ethlyene-glycol based product. a cheaper coolant might actually harm if not suited to 'various' metals cos ya rad will be ally but routing pipes are carbon steel. and still no snow in Bucks....???? how???
  17. it'll be 3 ltrs plus so buy a gallon. if he is a sunnyday rider only just get Mobil 1. sod the expense. if he never bothers to warm it up before riding go 10W for the first figure and I highly recommend you go SEMI-synthetic. it will last longer sat in the sump and will heat up quicker than fullySyn in the bike. Most importantly.. buy a filter to go with the oil. roughly £7. Google Busters/M&P/demon tweeks for this item. enjoy..
  18. 3- not 'joyride' then? 4- Jason Nivens prob remixing 'Its like that' Run DMC 5-yes SSiss and stay 7- haha the song is called 'Wannabe' 9- Supergrass and 'alrite' 10- song could be 'the circus' 16- Ultra Nate and gawd knows what song 17- Trainspotting ..so.. surely its Iggy and 'lust for life' 19- Oasis and 'wonderwall' cheers..
