Brake disks
Alls I'm saying is I would buy them from new and not tamper with them for safety's sake. Your choice though.
-
Brake disks
No - nothing special about the Z discs - dont play with them - buy some new ones that have grooves as standard - you will weaken the disc and it will warp at best or break at worst.

Chipped
You would need to have a look at the ECU and compare it to a stock one and look for differences. Either that or your boost is now above the stock 9.5 psi.

nzr it Question
Check inside the PC - that the power cable is plugged into it and that the mainribbon cable is also plugged into the back of it and the motherboard - maybe something simple. Failing that the Floopy disk drive maybe goosed - only a few quid to buy another from somewhere like pc world.

NZR: adsl router
I've got a Netgear wireless ADSL router at home and its top notch - has 4 ethernet ports built in. I use for Broadband throughout the house. Firewall and attack protection built into it so no need for software on the PC.:)

NZR: adsl router
Indeed - buy a good Router and buy a Hub to go with it The router will be a 4 port one as minimum and another 4 port hub is quite cheap.

urgent help with my auto box
Play in the rear wheels is ralted to the Hicas arms - they are about 50 quid each from Nissan and not a big job to do - cant remember the exact name for them - I had mine done a few months back - that also is a common problem - but not a big one - my symptoms for that where the rear handling a bit funny round corners - but I've also heard it for your problem too. Any decent 300 mechanic will diagnose that one for you.

Iridium Spark Plugs
Have fitted a set of Denso Iridiums to my car last Thursday night - So far have been very pleased with them and have had no side effects. Just in case anyone wonders if they work......They are IK20's I have a stock setup. And I left the gap untouched at 0.44 mm as out of the box and straight into the car. Probly coz they are new plugs V's old but I get more boost now. Will report if fuel consumption is anyt better if that appears to be the case.

That could also be worn out shock absorbers. Quite common.

Nissan dealer question
Surprised as they normally have a book that tells them how long a job takes.

urgent help with my auto box
check the level of the fluid first - make sure its right. Then do the diagnostic. IF that shows nothing check the TPS for proper adjustment and that the voltage change is smooth. The other thing that can make a difference is one the throtle cables in the engine bay - I think its the left hand one should only have 1-2 mm of free play in it - this can make a difference. But dont overdo that one as i can prevent the car starting up. After that you may need someone to look at the box for you.

Radiator cap Q
Just an update - got an uprated one from Middlehursts - its a HKS one and is rated to 1.3 psi - old one was 1.2 psi - seems to have done the trick - top hose is now nice and firm and no bubbling...Will wait and see if this was the cause of my detonation - it didnt do it on the way home though....
-
Radiator cap Q
Cheers mate - sorted one out for tomorrow! Did you know Nismo do one for £40 bloody hell! Standard ones are £9 odd from Nissan - I tried one from Halfords for £4.54 and it was crap. Getting an uprated one for a Skyline tomorrow from Middlehursts.

Radiator cap Q
My radiator cap is knackered - the rubber seal is shot to bits but not bad enough that it loses hardly any water at all - however when I stop the car I get a bubbling noise behind the dash board - My theory is that the system cant get pressurised enough due to the bad rad cap and is allowing the water to boil when the engine is turned off and the water sint flowing.. .I also reckon it may be allowing parts of the engine to run hot. Anyone think this sounds about right - or any other offers of ideas? Thanks.

daily driver?
I've had mine for 5 years and has been driven to and from work every day - that about 35 miles per day minimum plus any other trips running about in the vening and at weekends. So if you get a good one you can use it as a daily car.

Oh dear.
Have you just removed the bots or have you pulled it apart - Its not recommended to split them because it can be almost impossible to seal them back up properly afterwards - so you get leaks and air trapped - Cross your fingers and hope you get lucky...

Message for Bilky!
I think Tiscali has a habit of rejecting emails from certain ISP's if a lot of email goes through them - I think the Scooby forum cant send anything out because of it....
