Is your Z on the road?
In the 5 years I've had it its never been off the road with a problem - except minor wear and tear items that a re fixed in a couple of hours.

Value please with dicky gearbox
It could be in need of adjustment....TPS and throttle cables can affect the change of gear. There is a microswith under the throttle pedal that should click when you push it down nearly all the way - thats the forced kick down switch. You should be able to hear it. You would need to get it to someone with the equipment to check it out properly to be safe.

After first drive questions...
The side bolsters are adjustable on the drivers side - theres a little wheel on the left hand side of the drivers seat about half way up - It adjusts in and out. Odd behaviour of the radio - maybe its not been wired in right.

headlights again...
You heat them up in the oven to soften the sealant and prise them apart. Caution is needed not to force the glass as it can crack.

headlights again...
The jap bulbs are hard to get and cost about £22 for a single bulb Nissan can get them for you. The UK headlight unit is almost identical to the Jap one - except for the rubber boot that seals the bulb in and the extra earth lead it has! The earth lead you add in allows you to use standard H3 bulbs off the shelf for any car and you can get them anywhere. I modified mine 5 years ago when I first got it and a bulb went and I found out how much they cost. Plus you can only get 55w bulbs for the Jap bulb. If you pull the lamp apart to clean it then use plastic friendly cleaner on the plastic bits, and glass cleaner for the lenses.

headlights again...
Aha! Twinturbo.net has posts of people leaving the unit in place and making shaped rods with coat hangar wire with cloth wrapped round it and cleaning fluid on it and accessing the lenses from the bulb openings. Seems to do the trick. I will attempt this as soon as I have chance and will take some pics so that I can post before and after and during the cleaning. It might make driving at night almost manageable! :)

headlights again...
I did this mod years ago and even mamaged it with taking the screw out whit the headlight unit still in the car - had to be careful though!!! Well worth doing and then you can try higher wattage bulbs if they dont blow from the heat though. I am currently wondereing if its possible to clean the inside of the bulb lens without taking the unit out by using a fluid or a piece of cloth on a wire off a baby bottle cleaner. It may just be the inside of the lens on the bulb side thats dirty and this may help - I might have a look at this at the weekend if its not raining! As a guide - your headlight is clean if you can see the buld inside the unit - I certainly cant on mine and it must make a hell of a difference.

Your favourate Simpsons quote.
Or.... 'And then I sped away without anyone seeing my license plate.' Or.... 'Lord, I know I shouldnt eat thee....' 'Homer, thats not God, thats a pancake Bart tossed up there' 'Mmmmm Sacrilicious....' Or..... 'I am so smart!, I am so smart! 'S-M-A-T' I mean 'S-M-A-R-T' Or.... 'A woman is a lot like a refrigerator....' 'No, no a woman is a lot like a beer - they look good taste great and you'd step over your own mother just to get one.' An endless list really!

HICAS Eliminators
I think guys on Twinturbo.net have done it a few times. You'll probly get mixed replies as to the benefits of having it/removing it though!

Tick.... Tick... Tock... Tick....
I've got that as well! High pitched and quite faint though - seems most noticable when cold and just from start up when accelerating for the first couyple of mins.. Odd

HICAS Eliminators
I would suggest you may have a worn ou HICAS arm. It can make the car feel very floaty. Worth checking the play in the rear wheels just to check as just locking the HICAS probably wont stop this happening.

White van man....
I'm bringing my rocket launcher to work tomorrow. :D

White van man....
I dont remember mentioning that I forced him into oncoming traffic. I'm not that daft - he had a clear road.

White van man....
So then I can drive round and carve evryone up on the road coz I want that 20 foot or 10 foot gap you have mate and if I crash its your fault for not letting me in. I'll remember that on the way home - should knock 5 minutes off my trip.
-
White van man....
I dont mind if there isnt anyone in front of me - if he wants to go faster then thats fine - but he aint having my safety gap so he can do the same stupid thing to the next guy and right in front me of me then.
-
White van man....
Sigh, I've had this guy do this 3 times in the last 2 weeks - in a 30 or a 40 zone comes right up behind me and waits for about 2 seconds then pulls out and goes past me destroying the speed limit - I dont mind that too much as there wasnt anyone in front and I was going my own speed. Today though - a car 20 yards in front (a nice safe gap for a wet morning road) a car right in front of him, another car and then a big coach....He tries to go for the gap I have. Needless to say half a second after trying his manouvre he was left in the wrong lane looking like a prat as I closed the gap up to a point he would have to go past the lot. He pulled back in and flashed me - it will be interesting to see what he does next time he sees me. I might let him come past next time and blast him off the road :D I get this a lot on this particular stretch of the A59 and unless they are determined and are prepared to go past the next car as well - they dont my gap. That and people straight lining roundabouts are my road hates.
