  1. As a young man, Norton was an exceptional golfer. At the age of 26, however, he decided to become a priest, and joined a rather peculiar Order. He took the usual vows of poverty, chastity, but his Order also required that he quit golf and never play again. This was particularly difficult for Norton, but he agreed and was finally ordained a priest. One Sunday morning, the Reverend Father Norton woke up and realizing it was an exceptionally beautiful and sunny early spring day, decided he just had to play golf. So... he told the Associate Pastor that he was feeling sick and convinced him to say Mass for him that day. As soon as the Associate Pastor left the room, Father Norton headed out of town to a golf course about forty miles away. This way he knew he wouldn't accidentally meet anyone he knew from his parish. Setting up on the first tee, he was alone. After all, it was Sunday morning and everyone else was in church! At about this time, Saint Peter leaned over to the Lord while looking down from the heavens and exclaimed, "You're not going to let him get away with this, are you?" The Lord sighed, and said, "No, I guess not." Just then Father Norton hit the ball and it shot straight towards the pin, dropping just short of it, rolled up and fell into the hole. It WAS A 420 YARD HOLE IN ONE! St. Peter was > astonished. He looked at the Lord and asked, "Why did you let him do > that?" The Lord smiled and replied, "Who's he going to tell?" Thats a bugger that is!

Mate - DO NOT buy the pads from Halfords - I once did this and they where the most dangerous pads I've ever had on a car - they where Lucas pads and they cost about £34 and faded like mad when the brakes where used! Make sure the pads you buy are a good sporting make and not just a standard pad, you dont want under performing brakes on your Z - I've been through all sorts - from PAGID pads used on Skylines from Nissan OEM to Lucas pads, to GBC Red Stuff and Green stuff and to the ones I've got on at the mo that cost be £35 and got them sourced from Phil at C&S Wood Garage. and these last pads have been great for the price. I would get them again next time round. If the Halfords pads aint the Ferodo 2000 pads then be careful as to what they are selling you and find out before you order them.
  3. I find that when it gets quiet on the roads and its nice and wet - thats the best time to practise breaking traction to find the limit and to learn how the car starts to react at the limit of grip - I have to admit - its far more invovling and fun to drive without TC and still make good progress in the WET than just boot it all the time and hope the elctronics keep you on the grey stuff. By the way - I dont have TC - Never will either. Check with your insurance co before you buy and fit it as some will refuse to insure you because of what it lets you do with the car. Biggest tip - get your speed right before you get to the corner and dont boot it half way round - that way you will drift the car rather than spinning it big time - 300 bhp and wet road = big sideways motion from rear (in more ways than one!) Then on the exit of the cornere ease the power back on GRADUALLY - not full on!!! I drive mine everyday in all kinds of awful weather on all kinds of 'orrid roads and the Z is fine as long as you respect the power from the rear wheels. Even in the dry if you boot it full on while going round a roundabout you can get the rear end out quite easily. Enjoy !
  4. I thought the auto was 750 idle?
  5. If you want to keep optimal performance of your boost then replace with recirc valves - its what the car was designed to make use of - you'll only waste the boost of you stick BOV's on it - sure they sound cool - but if you had BOV's as standard you'd want to change to recirc valves as they give a bit more power from the boost when you change gear......Your choice though.
  6. I havent done one in far too long and as a result the colour of the fluid is red.....I can drain the radiator part no problem but there must be sooo much sediment in the block it keeps coming back red again - I have read on TT.net that there are Engine block drain plugs and although they dont recommend undoing them, the service manual shows this as the procedure and I'd at least like to have a look for myself....lus I'd like to do an engine flush and I dont want to do this if I cant drai nthe block as I cant guarantee I'll get all the crap out afterwards......Can anyone help on this or have any tips? Thanks in advance.
  7. To connect them directly together you would need an RJ45 crossover cable - If you use a normal cable you must buy a hub and connect each computer into that with its own RJ45 cable - you can buy them quite cheaply at most places these days.
  8. I have just changed from Greenstuff - not beacuse they where naff - but because they lasted about 5 minutes and they aint cheap. So I wont buy them again. Waste of money
