Had a title change and a tidy up. Hope it makes things easier to follow and I'm going to use this as a rolling thing instead of separate winter threads that become spring rushes.

That's a bit annoying. Oh well at least it's in hand now, might be worth talking to them. You might get a bit off if the part/labour is defective.

This weekend I've been a bit snowed in with domestic duties. A certain small person was content wacking (because we're still learning grab) a small blue elephant today though allow me and the boss to get some vital garden stuff done. I have squeezed in 10 minutes here and there though on car stuff and after test fitting the rear discs and some measurements and drawings I should be able to knock up my bracket template. So that's all positive. On the negative I did notice some corrosion up on the rear bumper to body join. So that's something for next year. I did get a bit flustered by this, the dread of fabricating that patch on that curve and subsequent paint work. Although having looked properly it appears there's a bracket in the underside of the bumper that sandwiches the urethane? Like the front. I did look for an exploded picture but no joy, just a thread from MarkDerby asking how the bumper comes off.

Did you retain the original tensioner during the belt change?

Car show Sunday !
Not to that no, the Z isn't eligible and times limited. It's a nice wonder about thing though as I've been before. There's a few different ones. We also do different themes down at the harbour, bike night, soft tops, yank night etc. Gets very busy. There is also a big event each year, bit like Brighton speed trials without the actual speed trial (so not really ) old formula one cars, monster trucks etc. Think airshow for cars. I did arrange for a club stand a few years back but had no takers.

Car show Sunday !
Nice one. We have a similar thing; http://bournemouth.co.uk/event/classic-cars-on-the-prom-2/ It's free etc, although it's only open to pre 83 cars. It's been pre 83 for about 10 years

What did you do to your zed today?
Where's the slop coming from? What do you currently have? I think for you adjustable lower arms will be a waste of money, they take a fair bit of cushioning out and worse still have a reputation for undoing ruining your alignment. Save your pennies for else where.

Ironic really that; The hated tories she's always banging on about appear to have quite the idol attraction to her. That she's shares most similarities with Farage policy wise. That the southern English (by which they mean greater London not southern England) are the most ideologically in tune.

Pain in the ass that, I used an impact driver on mine to solve the problem. Be very careful applying heat to the ball joint, they can explode. I've found that out myself, fortunately the bottom missed me but I lost my hearing for a few minutes and my vision went funny on the explosion side. Won't make that mistake again.

Twin Turbo Manual Stance Build Thread
Have you considered how this effects your front/rear track ratio? Seeings as your wheels are equal width and a 10mm spacer would of created equal offset. You effectively have 5 degrees more up front.

There's some brilliant mountain out of mole hill building coming from the press. Let's all find and enjoy some of them over the next few days...

Turbonoz?
Back on topic, out of curiosity, is Noel still trading as Turbonoz and working on Z32s (outside of the club) or has that bubble completely burst?

Turbonoz?
You need to match the timing as measured by the timing light to what it states on Conzult. Conzult isn't displaying the actual timing but what it's supposed to be. If Conzult says 20btdc at idle then that supports the thoery that the neutral switch isn't working. It's not the end of the world tbh, just set it correctly, at present yours 5 degree retarded throughout the whole band.
-
Turbonoz?
Loads of info available if you search. In short you need Conzult or similar which will tell you what the ECU thinks the timing should be. The neural switch grounds (or breaks, I can't remember) pin 44 from the ECU. This signal causes the timing to retard from 20 to 15btdc. First place to check is the ECU, if a splice has been performed on pin 44. Then continuity test the switch itself, they fail it seems. If at warm idle setting the timing to 15btdc causes the CAS to be not particularly central, particularly if it's way off it's likely the Neutral switch isn't wired up or is faulty. The other option of corse is that the psychical timing is wrong, tooth out etc. You've got to set the base idle and throttle position correctly too. This is why someone familiar with Z32s makes so much difference.

Combination of my brain and another member who has brought a kit, I'm not copying completely as I don't want to use an aspect of it. Lots of fiddling about yet to come.
