I stand by my orginal comments. I think the entusiasium is great and I understand your desire to drive the car you want, it seemed like a lifetime between me passing and me being able to drive anything even half cool. I hate hatchbacks so I was really disinterested in the saxo's and 106s my friends had I'm still disinterested in the golfs and civics they progressed on to. However in reality time does pass quickly insurance does come down and being a student is for most people something they grow out of. Video games are pretty good at showing the differences between different cars etc but seriously take it from me not real life. I can't lap the ring in 7 minutes in real life, you can't restart because you hit the Armco at 149mph and turbos don't explode, even if and when they do it doesn't cost you real money. I'm not trying to be rude but an 18 year old in a 300bhp 180mph car is a disaster waiting to happen, by the law of averages you will do silly things we all have/ do at times. The difference is you won't have the experience to give yourself a fighting chance of correcting it, you won't have the experience to know when not to drive like a loon and when you do make a mistake which you likely will you will be going twice the speed of any of your friends making the same mistake. Replacing a turbo will not cost you a few hundred quid, trust me. Replacing a turbo oil seal isn't a case of replacing the seal, it's a case of rebuilding a turbo and balancing it, you will end up doing them both because removing the engine took you 20 hours and you don't want to do that again, you will also end up changing a hose here and there because they are dead and it would be stupid not to. At which point £1k has disappeared, a few weekends and the oil and coolant haven't Coe out the budjet yet. It's an old sports car it WILL break, that's what happens it may not be tomorrow and it may not be next year it may not be something horrendous but it will happen. I'm not trying to put you off but if I sit here as captin sensible at 29 years old and think back 10 years would I have been able to afford a 300zx and would I of been able to resist the temptation to stab the loud pedal and go tree climbing. Honest answer no. If you really want one buy one as a long term project time will pass quicker than you think and you will get a better car in the long run. Alternatively buy one drive it for six months every day then tell us how feel. I really do wish you best of luck but I'm surprised an insurance company will touch you.

Good evening and welcome. Plenty to look at and for, bear in mind that your looking at what could be a 25 year old sports car. Like any 90s Japanese car rust can be an issue even on imports. Worst places are rear arches and sill area. Footwells and seat mounts can suffer from bad targa seals or drains that allow water into the cabin. The tailgate can also be prone due to the oem foam spoiler retaining water and subsequently the spare wheel hole. Early cars had issues with the master cylinder leaking which can cause rot. That's about it rust wise, by far the most common is the rear sill area though. Engines should be smoke free and knock free. Take as long a test drive as you can overheating can be an issue with poorly kept examples. The vg30de is a very strong engine but poor maintaince will kill it. It should handle sharply and not be wobbly/wallowy. All the normal applies really. Look for a solid service/receipt list. These cars arn't the cheapest to run so expect to see some evidence of maintenance works. The z32 was a car ahead if it's time and nissans greatest hour on release so don't expect civic style ownership.

Were due highs of 12 today here which is quite warm really for mid november, it was about 4-5c this morning. I'm quite warm sat here in my jacket but I'm toasty down to about -5 in it. Coldest I've experienced was -13 and that was a touch nippy lol.

For many winter starts in a set date, for others it's the first frost but to me it's a feeling. Your just suddenly aware that autumn has gone and winter is talking hold. The river looks like willy wonkas chocolate river and has put about a meter on this week. So I'm sat here and I took a few pictures of what things looked like this morning. Just guessing here but from the pic there seems to be a rubber gromit, it could be that and that would on the face of it seen easier to replace. Have you pinpointed the exact leak? Get some soapy water and regularly the tyre with air, see where it's coming from.

The egr and Aiv share a common line, you can trace this on the stock diagram. I assume you've deleted the Aiv but not the egr yet? If so just utilise the orginal common then treat the others the same. That ugly hard pipe section on the side if the plenum can then go. If it wasn't such a pain I'd just say junk the egr but it's not a 10 minute job in situe.
