Poorly zed
Did you crack the plastic end tank? I thought it was going to be the rubber hose down there but that makes perfect sense. If I were you id replace it with a second hand stock for now give you some space and time to work out what you want. FMIC vs SMIC is a classic debate and there's more options and cheaper solutions than first present themselves.

Motorbike in Cycle Lane....
Sorry to see this. Struggling to quite see what happened though. It sounds like the cycle lane business is the detail to persue. You may wish to check up on undertaking as far as the law is concerned, the offence was omitted in about 1972 to allow people to legal filter through traffic. It advises to pass on the right, ie as long as it's safe it's not an offence, if it's unsafe it become due care and attention or some other. Look that up, that's what I've been told. However if he was passing on the inside on a non motor vehicle lane that's not due care and attention is it? Not in my book anyway. It is also a fair point if a push bike had been doing the same you would be at fault. I wish you all the best but I can see how it could become tit for tat and complex.

Welcome to the eternal z problem, getting them off the floor. Drive it up on some bricks or 2x4, you will then be able to get a kick under there.

You won't build positive boost in neutral, the engine mustunder load to do this. Is that the car pulsing the idle like that or you? It is possible you've created a boost leaan inspection for any obvious, this allow metered air to escape and cause the black and rough running. It's worth checking connections for things like the air idle valve near the battery and the ECU coolant temp sensor. Sounds like you gave herca good jolt.

Nearly fell out my chair this morning.
I see them virtually all the time, I saw my first one about five years ago. Since that the population has exploded. Spending all day outside very quietly allows you to see what most just don't.

Nearly fell out my chair this morning.
I was watching the world go by this morning, when over my right shoulder an eruption of noise and water occurs breaking the silence and scaring the living day lights out if me. Bear in mind I'm sat on a small peninsula of mud with about 6-10 ft of ice cold flood water around me. It turns out to be a group if otters. Ignore my creepy "I can hear you breathing" statement as I pull out my phone and they scatter. Before I pulled my phone out they were less than 5 feet away. I see them all the time but they don't normally explode out the water under my nose. Anyway enjoy;

Got given a lecture by a cyclist this morning......
I was an extremely keen cyclist in my late teens early 20s, not road cycling that's boring. Sorry if anyone is into road cycling but it's the worst discipline and the people who do it are often the worst cyclists. YOU are NOT in the Tour de France, your too slow for starters and for seconds it's an open public highway not a racetrack that means cycling 2-3 or even 7 abreast whilst you jostle to place all the while ignorant to the tailback your causing because it's a national speed limit road and your barely doing 30mph! Road cycling has become very popular over the last few years, the new golf apparently in terms of social networking. It's horrendously expensive for a good bike and as I say in my opinion bloody boring. Give me trails any day it's akin to a "fun run" IMO.

That's roughly 80kg, which sounds about right, maybe a little heavy I dunno I can lift an autobox on my own and I've got the arms of a gibbon. Autoboxes aren't worth their own weight in scrap really.

Are the flashing ones even legal?

Electricians on board?
Yeah it can, just want to clear the steam after a shower as without extraction it's ridiculous.
-
Electricians on board?
Ok il go grab one tomorrow. I've got to replace the down lighters which I picked up today, the previous owner fitted normal ones in the bathroom gu10 240v types aswel. I only realised what they had done when they got damp. Bloody idiot. I've now got some fire rated ip65 12 mr16 type ones.

Electricians on board?
Yeah it's a pretty high draw isn't it. I guess it's not the end of the world if the fan runs when not necessary. So il run from the lighting circuit, junction box is in a handy spot anyway. So I just need to define each cable, should take too long then run the three core across. The only thing that confuses me is I'd need two fuses, one for each live. Normally the fused isolator only contains live neutral earth doesn't it.

Electricians on board?
Cheers Dave, I did think about that, space is pretty tight as it is. The trouble is there's already two pull cords in there already, one for the lights one for the shower. I was going to use some 1.5mm three core to wire the fan up, it's 25w. Will it cause an issue then the far lower load of the fan running on the same circuit(if I can get it in there). I may just have to wire it up in the lighting circuit as per the manufactures recommendation and live with the silly overrun.

Take time to look for cyclists Richard...lol. Riding a bike in the dark, with no lights wearing black is pretty much a death wish, some may call it genetic engineering of a sort.

If I were to sell my Zed...
I've seriously been considering one of recent. That age mid to late 80s is most likely the one is get. The domestic general says only one toy at a time though so I've gotta convince her, I've also got to find sonewhere to store the old girls.

Electricians on board?
Yeah pre switch is constantly live, post switch is switched live. I've used the same wiring diagram really just transferred the power source.
