I don't think it's honestly worth it, there's only about a week of weather bad enough to worry about them in this country. A good quality set of normal tyres will get you through most things, if it's too bad ft normal tyres the roads are so congested it's not worth leaving home.

Yeah that's the one, there's a similar one people call the petticoat which is horrid. I thought about giving my car one but two things out me off, the swagde line is absent and that can look silly esp on lighter colour cars and being fibreglass I will destroy it fairly shortly after fitting it.

If your going to get caught up on being oem then there's a fair few other bits to remove including that spoiler. Your going for oem+ aren't you not oem concourse.

I spose it depends on what you ultimate destination is, I just hate sitting on that crappyold ferry, you can only walk round so many times. The tunnel is so quick you just start to get bored and arrive. Then your on the French motorways and gone.

Also just to add it's your first car, the only way is up even a 100hp hatch back is going to feel fast to you. You need to work out if it's even feasible though. On average a sensible 1L hatch will cost a new male driver £2.5k in insurance. I really wouldn't be surprised to see you receive quotes such as £4k or more, seriously.

Just had a look through Jose parts, wasn't aware of the company before this. There is some really nice stuff. Honestly Dave THE best most experienced vg30dett builders in the entire world have said that stock head gaskets are their go to gasket until power beyond most of our dreams at which point tomei is the choice. It's not just a case of Noel having an opinion it's the opinion of the tuning community at large based on experience. Z1 are a vendor at the end if the day so they arnt going to publish openly that the cometic gaskets have a higher than acceptable failure rate when they have a stock room left and public pressure isn't behind it. The fact remains that several high end professional builds in this country alone have failed due to design of the gasket. In short stock gaskets are cheaper and on average more reliable than cometic, so there is no need for cometic. If there in and working that's fine but if you have to replace for whatever reason it's not worth the risk or extra cost they present. On the subject of stock head gasket failure, I don't think it's honestly all that common. The biggest killer of zed engines in stock format is coolant system failure and the cause of most tuned ones is bad mapping, det etc. Despite what I was told years ago "zeds blow HG if you turn up the boost" we don't get a raft of this reported on the forum and I don't actually know anyone it's happened to off the top of my head. I personally think people expect too much out if a 25 year old engine at times, when you consider some of the poor maintenance and the amount of cars running 14 psi and a hope it works approach to a map it's not surprising they go pop. Maybe it's time to move back to the topic at hand; Russ are you sure your mixing oil and water? Have you made any tests to the effect? Having loss of fluid and brown water could be as simple as a corroded leaking coolant pipe. The lack of power could be a secondary or unrelated issue.

From what I understand you purchased what was advertised as swb mud flaps right? You have received lwb mudflaps? Do they fit? If the item you have received isnt the item you paid for and is unsuitable well that's pretty simple and clear and you should be entitled to a full refund. If you purchased matt white paint and the pot that turned up was actually gloss in the matt packaging that's the vendors responsibility and you should expect a full refund, I think that's quite a fair example.

I only ask because the stock auto rad incorporates a transmission cooler, the aftermarket rad doesn't include this so provision for it is required. You may find the top soft pipe needs trimming to accommodate the thicker rad. It's a good time to replace the rad hoses.

Stock mounts won't fit, you can modify them but as they are they don't fit. AlanZ on here used to make aliminium rad brackets.
