  1. That's a shame Howard, would have of been good to have a proper chat. Was a bit brief at simply japanese.
  2. Forget about nicely nicely, he has sold you a COUNTERFEIT item, it's not like you brought a openly cheap reproduction its a copy of a branded item sold as genuine. Get a refund, you have been conned!
  3. Has the MOT guy ever commented on them? I was under the impression there weren't strictly legal?
  4. It's a counterfeit product end of. Inform him that if you don't receive a full refund within 14 days you will lodge a complaint with trading standards, you paid for what you thought was genuine it isn't.
  5. Ahh, they have those 3 bolt down pipes don't they. So your cars externally gated and these dump to atmosphere, as screamers? Bet that sounds like a jet engine on full chat.
  6. You should not have any open vacumm lines or ports. It would appear it's been removed or that's popped off, check around that area for a loose one. I can't remember what that take off is for and mines long since changed, referance it against the other engine. It would also appear both those engines have automatic balance bars, that's the thick black steel the on the top rear of the plenum. There are also some redundant electrical pick ups on the drivers wing on the black one and the 2nd clutch bleed point is gone, I would suggest it's highly likely this car was orginally automatic. Nothing wrong with that simply an observation.
  7. That's different, what turbos do you have?
  8. You have external waste gates.
  9. FCZ 2-44 that's what my eyes make it, it's a complete guess though tbh.
  10. As mark said it's genuinely not that bad, you swapping literal cartridges. The engine has a lot of bits that hold it to the body fluids to be drained umpteen electrical connections. The rear subframe and gearbox are paradise in comparison. Well done mark for club spirt.
  11. Because.... Increasing value helps with declared value and subsequent insurance payout. If you have sunk xxxxx into your zed then some oik crashes into it at it has a market value if £1k which was certibatly the case a few years ago unless you managed to get an agreed value that's all your going to get. Higher market value, better chance of greater renumeration. Overal market price, particularly the top end is a good indication of the cars profile. As an owners club part of our interests is to see the car WE believe to be a great piece of machinery experience the notetiriatry that it deserves, increasing prices indicate increased desirability, ie it's going well. Thats a massive subject and constantly on going. The Z32 has a bad rep that needs shaking, last two years it's having that rep well and truly shaken, that is in part reflected by the increased monetary value of them. The more the Z32 is worth and respected the more likely it is to be looked after, by that I don't just mean garage queens but cars that are used aswel not just an ornament to grow mould on falling apart on some chavs drive. Maintaince costs are forcing ownership away from those who can't afford to run and maintain them properly and ensures that they go to or remain with people who can and do. That is occuring, the numbers of wreckers is falling and the numbers of quality well maintained zcars is in the rise. With the average standard being higher and the average quality higher the reputation is higher. Most peoples experiences with Z32s that don't like them is with with beat up examples, you won't get a good impression that way. The new owners and older owners of these good example will be prepared to invest higher as the car is worth more, it's easier to swallow spending £3k to fix a car worth £10k than one worth £1k. In short, price is only important if you wish to sell. However it has other offsets and is a good indication of the cars public profile which is a key interest in any car club. Also it's not a boy racer car  boy racers can't insure let alone run a z32 they by Saxos, still yes and may upgrade if you consider is that to a civic maybe one with vtec yo. Enjoy your zed art look after it and remember it's an appricating classic.
  12. Feel sorry for anyone that got done, you just can't trust everybody. What a barstard.
  13. If I was you I'd be seriously excited by this point.
  14. The resivoir connection, the thick tube from the pas pot to the pump, on a Ty its got two take offs, one for ech section. You've deleted a section, this leaves areduntant feed. It's like an upsidedown y shape.
  15. So you will just have a random flange blanked off in the breeze?
  16. And what are your intentions for the resivoir connection, tt one has two take offs.
  17. Jspec cars can be imported to France, it's just a lot more complex than importing a UK spec car. It's to do with kite marks or the like that were applied for the Euro market. I believe it's rather expensive, where as my parents both imported their cars to France and it was overly complex.
  18. Those look nice. Il be binning the whole pre turbo intake tract fairly soon hopefully.
  19. Do you have to have a registered business to use it? It seems to be asking for my business reference with the local government?
  20. Extremely humbling to see the vast quantity, I went to France with my father years ago and saw the allied grave yards really had quite an impact on me to see the scale of these things. Have you been listening to radio 4s tommies series? It's made using documents and records so its historically accurate and follows an individual day 100 years ago, ie todays episode is what happens on this day etc. Very interesting and because its accurate and real very emotive. It's on, on Tuesdays at 2.15 I believe, or you can listen via iPlayer. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03thbp3
  21. Yeah I see that, seems you can get some serious bargains esp if you want more than 1
  22. How does it work exactly?
  23. Anyone used this? Lots of Chinese Z32 parts for competitive prices. From what I understand you approach sellers and negotiate a price, ie everything a group but waiting to happen.
  24. Yeah, try finding a tt for pennies now though, even absolute dogs that were selling for £500 a few years back are thin on the ground. The number of cars for sale has dropped drastically.
  25. Just goes to show, two iconic sports cars and a z32 in that car park and it doesn't look out of place or drab, Infact quite the opposite.
