  1. 14 years! I didn't realise you had had it that long. You guys coming to Winchester on the 14th?
  2. Does this mean twinZ will finally be able to call themselves simply Twins?
  3. Despite some claims it's ok if you mark it the speed they rotate at it just won't happen an nth of a degree is enough to ruin them. You can rebuild them at home easy enough but you will need them balanced which sadly isn't cheap.
  4. A seldom seen beast of a car.
  5. Fantastic, anymore takers? Nice chance to discuss ideas put faces on people. Good way to gain helpers for winter projects and know who you will be meeting come spring for the big events.
  6. Yeah, my brother in law is now 21 his insurance in a low crime area at 18 for a fiesta 1L was a whopping 2.5k that was after lots of shopping around.
  7. It's all a massive con, there's not much sense in it either. Small engined cars with no power can be more expensive due to statistics, ie if kids crash them they will cost more. The mx5 or similar may be more to insure than the zed. However a 300hp sports car will likely end up in a straight up no from most companies and those that say yes it will be very high. You've got to get started though, after your first year it will drop drastically. For me now it's cheaper for a zed to insure than a corsa! Insurance is a rip off, fuel is a rip off unfortunately life is a rip off. You have to pay to play. Get yourself a good job and worry about fast cars when your older. For now a sensible hatchback will look after you for the next few years. Have you had a driving lesson yet?
  8. Welcome, nice first drive by the sounds of it. Who is your friend with the white one?
  9. If I'm honest the storesk is one of my least favourites though.
  10. I don't think it's that at all, it's just that most people don't like that bumper. I like ALL the twinZ stuff apart from that bumper. Their demo car is lovely until you see the front.
  11. Arnt they only better below 5 degrees? It's still about 8 at night on average.
  12. I don't think it's honestly worth it, there's only about a week of weather bad enough to worry about them in this country. A good quality set of normal tyres will get you through most things, if it's too bad ft normal tyres the roads are so congested it's not worth leaving home.
  13. Yeah that's the one, there's a similar one people call the petticoat which is horrid. I thought about giving my car one but two things out me off, the swagde line is absent and that can look silly esp on lighter colour cars and being fibreglass I will destroy it fairly shortly after fitting it.
  14. You need some perspective shots like those of your spoiler I think, to tell.
  15. He is gifting it to me.... Just fit it Joel it's a seriously good looking bit of kit. I think it looks stock fresh and modern not ott or aftermarket. If your going to get caught up on being oem then there's a fair few other bits to remove including that spoiler. Your going for oem+ aren't you not oem concourse.
  16. I spose it depends on what you ultimate destination is, I just hate sitting on that crappyold ferry, you can only walk round so many times. The tunnel is so quick you just start to get bored and arrive. Then your on the French motorways and gone.
  17. I much prefer the euro tunnel
  18. He obviously just passed half way as he has reverted to French, it must of been within minutes as I received a text in English moments before. Bloody iPhones.
  19. Also just to add it's your first car, the only way is up even a 100hp hatch back is going to feel fast to you. You need to work out if it's even feasible though. On average a sensible 1L hatch will cost a new male driver £2.5k in insurance. I really wouldn't be surprised to see you receive quotes such as £4k or more, seriously.
  20. Have to check both, insurance is weird like that. It was cheaper for a TT than an Na when I got mine.
  21. Yeah I'm with footman James, £250 for the year not garaged. I just laughed at the flux quote.
  22. Most classic policies require you to be 25, some stipulate 21.
  23. There are products you can use but worry about that once you solve the were is it going question.
  24. I agree. Even a basic compression could help weedle a few red herrings. Lots of crap rusty little tubes to break and cause headaches. - - - Updated - - - I used felpro on my old car.
