  1. My garden.
  2. Just because the feed to the vac feed will no longer be directly next to the turbo and if the gate was letting by it would come out there rather than in the exhaust(iirc his are vented to astmosphere) I don't know how they are laid out, I can't say XYZ because personally I wouldn't know. So I've commented on what I do know, there's an input and output pipe the rest I can't say anything so I didn't.
  3. This might be of use to you, just found it via google; http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?4173528-DIY-Rebuilding-BBS-RS-RM
  4. Been like that last few days round here, melts within a few hours of the sun being up though.
  5. I'm not sure that compressor will be large enough? You only need 5psi but you need a good volume of air. Someone else might be able to clarify this. As for your leak, you've got those greddy turbos haven't you, with external wastegates? The same applies that there's an in and and out that could be loose. As you say you will just have to get under and hunt.
  6. Whys that? As long as it's done properly I can't see why there would be an issue? My mate has rebuilt at least two sets of BBS split runs like that on the kitchen table lol.
  7. 3.5k is a reasonable price to pay for a mechanically and structurally sound Z, if you want something spot on and of high quality a long wait and a budjet of 5k or so would be sensible. A few have come up for sale over the last year or two for 6-10k I could tell you wether they are worth that I haven't viewed them. There are certinatly a hand full of cars in this country that are worth 10k, they arnt for sale though.
  8. Sounds a bit cheap? What's the body condition like?
  9. You not worried about over loading the wiring with 100w main beams tony?
  10. Ohhh, I get you now. You fitted HIDs to the dip beam, they weren't as bright as you expected. You fitted uprated halogens to the full beam which you were very impressed with, so tried some in the dip beam and the problem of them not bring bright remains. So you want to know if there is a supply fault?
  11. Everyone seems to be confused by what your asking. Maybe you need to try to explain again, I can't make much sense out of it myself.
  12. Yup exactly. If you can't or don't wish to be a big spender you need to be smart. Are those true gt28's as I'm journal bearing five bolt rears?
  13. You can buy the turbos is that z1 kit for about a grand in this country but you need to convert them, that requires your own research and fabrications. It's not a five minute job, this is why it was said to you, either do lots of research or hand over some monies to someone with the knowledge. Godspeed are based in Canada and manufactured in china as far as I'm aware.
  14. Didn't you post up the same or very similar turbo last week? Lots of hassle to fit that I expect.
  15. I don't know anything much about. You can however do as I just did and type it into google, loads comes up. Maybe this will help you; http://www.sr20forum.com/turbo/81442-blow-through-maf-setup.html
  16. Exactly....there are clubs out there like that though. Not for zeds but generally.
  17. As I say I actually like aspects of it, if it had a stock or far subtler spoiler and a 99spec front it would look fantastic, in my opinion. I don't think you can really say people aren't or don't highly modify visually the z32, there's been many cars with lots of ascetic alterations. Some wild. It's just the fashion for huge bodykits and pumping sound systems isn't very fashionable now. That's across the board. The fashion is to go very clean and subtle, you've only got to look at what the honda kids are doing, very little fibreglass body kits compared to 10 years ago, and your more likely to find a roll cage than a play station in the boot. Each to their own I say, however this is a discussion board so as long as people arn't abusive or dicatory they can voice their opinion. It's not like the club rejects membership of those who don't retain concourse cars, quite the opposite.
  18. Make your opinions know Si, don't hold back. I'm not so sure the baggy low slung jean thing is in fashion, not since you and I were teenagers.
  19. Aspects of that yellow z are nice, it's just too far in other areas. Huge big wings like that are OK when they are functional items on purpose built track cars. Simply bolting a massive whale tail to your bootlid is probably going to be wasting a lot of the extra down force just bending the boot. Then there's all sorts of stuff to consider such as front and rear down force balance ratios etc it's way over my head. I think the general just us though that bolting an ironing board to a polo won't make it faster.
  20. Half covers are the devil, scratch everything because of the straps and high winds turn then into a paracute. Full cover is the way forward if you have to fit one.
  21. Have you tried locking it down? Ie lock it into 2nd and boot it? Mine did this, the revs would just shoot up and hit the limter without putting down any power. This happened intermittently for a while, better when cold worse when warm until it just would hold the gear on boost. Manual conversion solved that.
  22. Good work matey. Be good to get it hooked up to conzult. That clutch slip thing you describe, is it more pronounced on gear change, for example when you boot it and it changes down does it struggle to grab the gear?
