Probably going to get a slap for even asking, but how does it perform compared to a stock TT? I'm assuming MantaV8's car will leave a standard TT well behind but I've never seen any comments about performance (although it sounds awesome). Cheers, Bart

Er... do we all hate this guy or something? Every time he comes on here and posts about somebody doing mad things with the zed engine people just rip it out of him even when he shows us the dyno sheet. Come on guys, be nice. I'd like to see a lot more people taking the Z32 engine to the max - if I had the funds I'd do it myself. You're not telling me with the right mods and tuning you couldn't end up with a car that would give all these high power Supras and Skylines a run for their money. (Yeah, yeah, I know it's harder to work on because you have to take the engine out to do anything, but the point still stands that if you've got the time and money, it can be done.)

Yeah, but what you can't see is how many people are watching it. You also can't see how many people have auction snipes set up.

Glad to hear Mac isn't selling. Have had another look at Chris's car, and think I'd still spend around that kind of money to get it... same as Sgt C's really. Not a lot in terms of performance mods, but looks great, and to take my car from stock and make it look like that... well, you're talking an awful lot more than the price difference between selling mine and buying Chris's. Still can't afford it though so better stop dreaming. :-S

Total PITA, I still have a crack on the underside of my front bumper because of these things. Sympathise with you completely. It would be nice if somebody in this country had the brains to build a carpark with spaces big enough to fit an actual car in, and open the doors without having to worry about hitting the car next to you or (more importantly) vice versa as well.

I think the driver, or at least the one with the camera in his car, made it out of that one. You can see him grab the steering wheel at the end, presumably for support. Very scary indeed.

Yeah, like Tony said, if they've screwed up they'll sort it out no problem.

Another thing to watch is that this car isn't cheap to run even if nothing major goes wrong, so you want to make sure you can afford it before committing yourself otherwise you'll end up in a right mess. If in doubt I'd say wait a bit, but that's just me.

Fair point on the performance front. I'm guessing a big chunk of that 30k is bodywork and respray. Does make you wonder what somebody like Mac1's car would be worth given that he's unquestionably got the performance to match the looks.

Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Bet it goes through a set of tyres every two days though. :rofl:

:shock: :shock: Looks like about half of it vapourised on impact. I imagine most cars would look like that if crashed at any kind of speed. Hope the driver made it out alive, but can't help agreeing to some extend with the sentiment expressed by this comment: "another rich *** who can afford a car but not driving lessons". A bit harsh perhaps, but it does make you think.

Yep, if I was looking now I'd have been on the phone this afternoon. That's an *awful* lot of car for £9.5k, and one of the few zeds I've seen with a wide-arch kit that I really like. Lovely wheels too.

Well, that's sad news for sure. I've never met Chris personally but he seems like part of the furniture round here, and a very good bloke. I think I might have to ban people with really nice zeds from selling when I don't have the money to buy though. First Greg and Sgt C, and now Chris. And on no occasion have I had spare cash. Very annoying.
