  1. Great stuff. Have you had it dynoed yet? How much power do you think it's making?
  2. I'm lost for words. Truly remarkable.
  3. I have to say I agree with this. The amount of people I've seen who very abruptly change course when coming towards me is untrue. Nice one on the lady in the 4x4 as well. Those things really get up my nose.
  4. Very nice. How much power are you looking to kick out with that?
  5. Spoiler's a bit aggressive for my liking, but other than that: nice car! Great spec as well. Definitely going to upset a few people on a 1/4 mile strip.
  6. Good kill btw. Always fun to waste an Impreza. :)
  7. For crying out loud man!! No offence but it's "Subaru". 'A' isn't even near 'U' on the keyboard. I know others have moaned about this but the poor spelling on here is really starting to get on my tits.
  8. Mate, sorry to hear this but at least you're still in one piece.
  9. Seems to be back now. I've just listened to Jive Bunny... I really can't believe I bought a whole album of that crap when I was about 11. It's just so wrong. Couple of interesting clips on the video though... like the plane that stacks the carrier landing, slides the whole length of the deck and then pops off the bow. Luckily facing forward so I imagine the pilot got out OK as you can see it floating on the surface as the carrier passes.
  10. Looks great. Really like the colour. Front lights aren't really my cup of tea but we're all different. If it was mine I'd be more than happy though: lovely looking motor.
  11. Try this mate: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=43 There's how tos on various bits in there, broken down by topic.
  12. Hmm... I'm thinking everyone else in the world has now discovered this site because it's just not responding. Can't watch a thing. Anyone else getting this? Not surprising really because it's pretty cool. Bart
  13. Mate, you're a genius!!! Just watching the (still very cool) Aha "Take On Me" video.
  14. Haven't heard that in a while.
  15. Yeah I'd agree, what with being a potential buyer and all that. I saw a couple of otherwise really nice places yesterday, which I'm going to see again Sunday afternoon and I'd vastly rather they just left the carpets in place. Also, if you daren't get the stuff wet it might not be so good in a kitchen. The stairs are another bone of contention in one of them: they're really nice wood and the husband wants them left bare, sanded, and oiled, whereas the wife doesn't want the mess and wants them carpeted. I'm with the husband TBH and if I put in an offer I'll be asking them to do absolutely nothing to them in preference to laying carpet. Cheers, Bart
  16. Just started viewing houses today. Saw four properties at lunchtime today, and have come to the conclusion that home improvement TV programmes have an awful lot to answer for. Why?!? #@*&ing laminate flooring is why! It's just crap. You can feel it bending and moving when you walk on it because it's only about half an inch thick, and made out of something that's almost but not quite entirely unlike actual wood. *And* it's never stuck down properly everywhere. The best job I saw today, and admittedly it was otherwise immaculate, had one join held together with gaffer tape. Admittedly in the doorway between the kitchen and lounge, but nevertheless. For crying out loud: either put proper floorboards down or stick with carpet, or, or... well just about anything in fact other than bare concrete. I'm well aware of how cheap it is, but there's a reason for that. I don't know who's responsible for this plague: Lawrence Llewellyn-Bowen or somebody I suppose, but they want shooting. (Sorry btw, don't mean to offend anyone who likes this stuff - it's just I know it's going to annoy me and I'll end up having to pull it all up when I manage to get somewhere, assuming I can't find anywhere not infected with it.) Anyway, all good fun. Actually got quite excited about buying somewhere... it's funny because I never really saw myself feeling that way about just buying a house. Guess times change. :) Cheers, Bart
  17. Yep, agreed. Although the tailgate/lights don't work too well with the wide-arch kit. Bit of a monster though!
  18. Mate, sad to say but I think she's dead. Maybe you could make your £1k back by breaking her and selling in bits, but to be honest I'm not even sure of that. You'd certainly spend more getting her back on the road than just buying another one. Don't buy her back.
  19. I did have 3 for doing 90 in a 70 on an empty dual carriageway on a Sunday night... not that I'm bitter or anything. Disappeared a year or two ago now though. Thought I was on for some more a couple of Sundays back though. Overtook what turned out to be an unmarked police car coming off a roundabout onto a very short section of dual carriageway just before it merged back to single carriageway. Fortunately never went above 70 because coming off the roundabout there's a very sharp bend. Still very relieved he didn't decide to pull me over though.
  20. Yeah, it's very true: you'd have actually had to leave your desk and go out and everything. I shouldn't complain really. You having much luck? I've managed to get some fairly decent results from Haart and Cheffins, although both the places I've tried to view so far have been sold before I even got to see them. Once you're in the loop and on people's mailing lists and stuff I think it probably gets easier.
  21. Cheers buddy, had a look at the top one. Looks pretty useful. Also if you search for "property search" on google one of the featured links at the top links to a kind of meta-search that searches various property searches... er, if that's even a proper sentence.
  22. Hi everyone, Looking to buy a house and have been recommended to use rightmove.co.uk. However, having just used it, and now waiting for my blood pressure to gently fall back to more normal levels, I've kind of come to the conclusion that the search facility on it is really crap. They give some excuse related to postcodes as to why this is so in their online help, but to be honest they might as well just come right out with it and say, "we were too cheap to hire a programmer clever enough to solve this really not terribly hard to solve problem." .... Hmm, I think I'm still a bit irritated, you can probably tell. The reason I'm so irritated is because I'm after properties basically between Cambridge and Ely, but in order to get what I want back I'm having to say tell me about properties in X village only, otherwise I get buried with all these places which are just *miles* away from where I want to be. Grr. So question is this: has anybody found/used any really great sites for doing property searches? At the moment I'm back to looking at estate agents' own web pages because they're giving more useful results. Thanks, Bart
  23. Thanks, mine arrived Saturday. Very happy. Thanks for the effort in putting them together. Managed to card someone Sunday lunchtime as well so it's already come in useful.
