  1. ^ to be fair, shipping from the states now will probably be closer to alone lol
  2. Holy hell mate, immense effort! I was tempted to it like you would a sub box enclosure using a framework, then lycra then using resin/hardener and fg. How did you go about constructing it if you don't mind me asking? Only worry I have is if the gf asks questions about why I've stolen her lycra trousers
  3. The main problem with veilside front on the Z is that people stick those ruddy stupid looking indicators in the top vents! It looks utterly gash, this guys done it too... without those it'd be much cleaner. Also the colour does help, it's lush!
  4. I know this seems utterly childish - but I love the look of this car! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-300zx-Z32-fairlady-auto-/180633719069?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2a0e9bd11d In a time where everything is clean and stock to be cool, this just harks back to 90's street racer cool.
  5. Has anybody done a full leather retrim, i.e. roof lining/ front/back/ full dash etc. ?
  6. Haha the type 3 is even nicer so not a bad thing :)
  7. Just spotted this in usa, new stillen GTZ lip (discont. I believe) probably nicest lip you can get for pre-facelifts. 55 dollaaa http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1990-NISSAN-300ZX-STILLEN-GTZ-FRONT-CHINSPOILER-BODYKIT-/110658620755?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19c3c48d53
  8. 800 to 1000, but I'd have to travel to south england where most of the decent custom bodyshops are (Im in the north of scotland) thats a couple of hundred quid in fuel and b&b's as well as time off work which I don't get. I've had some japanese parts before and have to say on the whole fitment has been 100% perfect. I was half tempted to make one myself but it wouldn't have as good a finish
  9. holy moly thats expensive! Still, good to get it done and out the way. I'm planning some trips in the 300 as not had it on the road since last "summer", got a 2.2 prelude but it's not the same as having all that grunt and top end power! Wish I could take my dad, last time he got in it he practically sh*t his pants when he realised how quick it was
  10. Will they give a lag/kick? The T25 on the s13 has a great kick at 3k or so, but the s14 T28 doesn't.. its so smooth it's hard to tell there's a turbo on there! I'd imagine as they are bigger turbos there should be a lag then a surge, but from experience is that really the case?
  11. Really? *Ponders how reliable that would be* :p Currently pushing 15-16psi on stocks but you can just tell it's at the limit of the turbos. It's probably running 350-360 at a guess. I guess it's just the turbo's/exhaust elbows which are the difficult bits to fit huh?
  12. Haha I suppose it's all down to personal taste, to me this is by a long margin the most appealing spoiler and I've seen them all down to the american and japanese rarities. I don't like the 99 spec or any of the bigger wings (except for the paul bailey one, that was pretty nice). but everyones taste is different I suppose, I also don't particularly like low offset 'hellaflush' wheels, stretched tyres etc. with exception of a few as driving around with that setup would be sh*t and it's nothing more than a silly extreme fad. 800 includes freight and post to my door, but does not include any import taxes.. but I've been lucky with those recently and not been charged a penny. Fitment is easy it's bolt on, and spraying needs to be done anyway so prepared to pay that.
  13. GT28 from pulsar GTiR, ball bearing but similar size to t28.
  14. OK.. Im not the richest guy out there, but after spending months turning this over in my head I'm on the brink of sending a very large sum of money for this item: To me it's the perfect 300zx spoiler, there's other cheaper options I COULD go for.. but I know in myself I wouldn't feel 100% happy. So the question is, is it worth me shelling out over 800 pounds for one of these? It's the only way I can get it, to get veilside jpn to custom make me one and ship it over (lead time of 4 months if shipped by air and 6 months by sea (inc. 2 months creation time)... I know I'd be delighted with it.. but it's as much as you could get some 18x10 bbs lm's or a leather retrim or something equally exotic.. I know smooth boots look nice, but this just adds that little length to the car it needs and from a side profile is just lush without looking gawdy. What you reckon??
  15. Noticing GT28's can be had for reasonable money. a) would it be worth fitting them over stock? b) I assume the only supporting mods needed are bigger intercoolers, bigger injectors (what size?), 5 bolt elbows and a tune up? c) if running them on an otherwise stock engine what kind of power and torque increases can I expect?
  16. Heya Kaza, I have a spare pair of Bride RO rails which allow recaro's to fit if you're interested? The Z's an interesting one because the stock seats acctually sit about as low as you're gunna get. I switched for some evo recaro's which were considerably lighter and they were only a few mm lower at most. Also to be honest, they were a little firm for my liking - I went back to the grey tweed and automatic adjustment and it's like being back on a familiar sofa. That was after spending in the region of 1k on seating.
  17. They are nice but would look stupid without a wide arch kit :(
  18. Bah I had this, it was a 10a fuse in the drivers footwell.. and then it went again an hour later... and again 2 days later lol! Pissed me off being sat upside down in the car at night refitting fuses :p
  19. TBH I don't mind mice in the house, to be fair I live in an old stone cold house in the middle of fields and forests, it's impossible to keep them out. But they only come in during the winter months and they like to keep away from me. I had a shoe pile in the corner of my room last winter and it was cool sitting awake at 1am and keeping an eye on the pile, you'd see little heads poking out now and again, and then scurrying under the door gap etc. or if you dropped a little bit of food theyd cautiously come up to it, and sit and nibble, then drag it back. They are kinda cute, it's a shame about the damage they can cause. Like I said, our field mice vacate once the spring is back in flow.
  20. Are both these guys good for custom work? Looking for the diamond cushion pattern centres etc. All the interior done.
  21. ah! hehe.. great minds.. acctually after having a look around it seems 1-1.5k can secure a ruddy nice full interior leather retrim so would be a better bet. Shame they are all down in south England :(
  22. Curious if these are as good as they look? I quite fancy converting to a Tan leather interior - these are leatherette but so long as it's good quality that shouldn't be a problem. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-300ZX-SKYLINE-R32-R33-R34-S13-S14-SEAT-COVERS-/270709117028?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f07855064 I see a UK Zed on there, any reviews?
  23. Just would like to point out it's amazing that Zed's havent suffered the chav image problem.. they have been completely neglected, and are not quite aged looking so unlikely to become popular with the likes of ST's/focuses pushing out similar power these days. But they are still 300 bhp, reasonable insurance and prob fastest car 1k can buy.
  24. got flat 4 you know the score.. Indeed they are chavtastic with lexus lights, but scoobies can be very nice looking in some of the more obscure colours such as custard yellow. The engine suffers from 300zx syndrome by all accounts, in that it's very difficult to work on whilst in the bay. The sound never grows tiresome though, and they are quite nippy. Boy down from me has a 500bhp one and it's certainly swift.
