1. You lucky mother f*cker  Don't tell my gf I said that :sweatdrop:
2. It's your ECU most likely, too rich a fuel map for the power you're putting out = unburnt fuel and inefficient running = pops and bangs
3. ^ sorry but lol, he refused to sell you something?! That's one unique business strategy if ever I've heard one :D
4. Interestingly though Lenagh, I compared a genuine muchos-expensive buddyclub sideskirt to a replica from ebay which cost 50 quid plus post.. the replica fit PERFECTLY and the BC needed a little work.. Also I dont see fibreglass as being a good excuse, I've had some fibreglass spoilers in the past and the finish/fitment was absolutely bolt-on perfect without any mods necessary.
5. Could you post me a picture of your spoiler moby please? So I can get a better idea?
6. All I've done is gauged gauge against those speed readers on the street, 50 reads 50 smack on.
7. heehee, was just wondering.. thank god I'd never find out :D
8. damn I would if it was a lower one thats the only one im not so keen on bud. Sure that will be snapped up though if you put it in the for-sale bit!
9. In my experience significantly lightened flywheels result in free-er revving of the engine in neutral (as you would expect, anything that lightens the load on the crank is a good thing), but once in gear there was a slight difference at best. At the risk of reducing structural integrity I'd leave well alone.
10. So lets just say mine read 175 .. how fast would I have been going :wack:
11. I'm tempted on going for the viper rear spoiler from ZCentre, but I saw this advert on ebay saying that the fitment and finish on the spoilers supplied by them is crap. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-300ZX-Z32-Rear-Spoiler-/140421883107?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20b1cbe4e3 That's a low level spoiler by the looks. I'm going for the viper one potentially. Anybody got any experience? Thanks, David
12. I may be selling mine at some point soon, it's just had the front bumper sprayed to match and is awaiting a set of coilovers. I'm surprised they are confidently fetching so much?!
13. Yeah get them off ebay for about 4 pounds a piece then fit them with a bit of loctite or strong adhesive then clamp the things down! Theres nothing wrong with your BOV's just have to make sure those bungs are in nice n tight :)
14. Lol I'll play devils advocate - those are sweet Z's and being 98/99 alot more exclusive than most of the ones on here. Yes he was revving too high during the donuts but frankly it was pretty tame and I'd be surprised if it caused terminal damage.. could possibly be a wiring issue as stated. I'd Start by checking all your levels, check your ecu codes and go from there. We all have a little bit of fun now and again, depending on how regular the fun is relates to the chances of it being a serious problem ;)
15. ^ ditto lol.. dummy back box wouldnt be great :p
16. To be honest I think the other way, 4 pipes are excessive- nobody needs 4 pipes coming out their car. Even if it's the standard fit doesn't mean it's good. I think a twin 2.5" exit out one side would be tasteful and would appeal to those who like twin exhaust if set up with a dual-pipe system. The only downer is the bumper has holes for 2 exits :( Much worse than 1 exit though in my eyes is dual cannons!!!! They looks ferking RIDICULOUS like a show saxo.
17. Should listen through headphones, no major booting but a little bit of boost :punk:
18. Not sure.. I run 1.0mm tips on stocky engine/injectors and I poop a brick.. probably wouldnt be trying 0.8mm unless I had injectors, but as you do.. go for it and tell us :0D
19. it was either this or one small muffler in the middle and unmuffled 3" pipes out either side at the back, but this came up at a good price :) Just a shame it's not that loud (really surprised me given its only got a back box and 2 small bulges in the rear pipe.
20. nope I'm firm that the car sounds much much nicer over my twin exit system. Obviously though it's all down to personal taste at the end of the day :-)
21. OK, it may look a bit marmite I'll admit it - but I just took off my double exit RS*R exhaust and fitted up my Kakimoto 3" decats and 3" single exit exhaust system - it's not quite as loud as I'd have hoped for but dear god it sounds AMAZING!!! Very much like the infamous 2JZ note, really round tone - (best way to describe). I'll get a recording as soon as I can!
22. I'm going to get carbon fibre adhesive over my wheels and exhaust tips, then get some carbon racing stripes for structural rigidity.. and finally retrim my passanger recaro in carbon to withstand bigger birds without compromise.. sorted
23. Stock bumper looks crap usually down to bent lower lips, BUT with some aftermarket front lips from america and japan they can look tremendous - there's something 80's about them which really goes with the cars lines, the 99 spec is nice for some but on the other hand it doesn't flow quite as well as the original design.
24. thanks very much for your help though buddy!
25. Is that it lol!!! Awesome, shame I'll have to wait until monday now before getting it done :(
