  1. I'm reasonably handy with a spanner, dont clutches gearboxes dizzys suspension brakes before etc. but never lifted an engine. Do you think it's within reach me doing a pair of turbo's? I quite fancy getting a pair of GT28r's and popping em on, buying them isn't the problem, paying for the labour to fit them is - and I wouldnt trust any garage within 200 miles of where I live.
  2. yep, bride RO wil mate, and they are low
  3. You've pictured two completely different styles of car there. Black with polished lip looks real good on 'edgier' cars depending on body colour (blue, purple, red, yellow etc.), but your car is far too smooth to pull it off I'm afraid, silver seems to have hit the spot nicely and I wouldn't venture far from it. Also bear in mind that black often creates the illusion of a smaller diameter wheel, and as it stands your wheels are pushing it as it is and wouldn't want to look any smaller (unless the car was lowered to suit). Thats my opinion anyways :)
  4. fook me mate sounds like a rough deal!! Glad you got the majority back, keep pushing mate it'll be worth it
  5. Whilst we're on the subject - remember to torque up your wheels properly guys, as my dad found out the other day over/undertightening wheel nuts (well studs in this case) isn't a good idea.. His wheel came off (all 5 studs sheared at the thread ends) the front of his pug coupe, luckily it was at a roundabout at 10mph, and not during the hour long 70mph journey he just did. We'll be questioning the garage involved during the wheel bearing change on that wheel a fortnight ago.
  6. Firstly dude, who is this as I wasn't aware of it, and my dad is looking to import - Secondly - I suppose there's a lack of choice regarding sending money when dealing with imports but crikey being ripped off by that kinda sum is ridiculous!!! I'd travel over there, find them and remove body parts until I got the money back
  7. I would imagne half the problem lies in the fact that the 2+2 has the fuel tank at the back end making the installation of a central diffuser difficult without lowering the stance of the bumper by a margin. Much the same issue that stuffed up my plans of having a nicely positioned backbox. Now I'm going for a side exit so shouldn't be as much of a problem ;)
  8. Whilst we are on the subject, what's the real-term difference in boost delivery when using an EBC vs boost jets? I hear of spikes using the latter and a non-progressive wastegate opening with the former, what's the scoop?
  9. electronic. Try turning the car off and on. It may work again. I've had it twice so far, turned the car off and back on -working
  10. Lol dude, you've taken photos of ebay picture on the screen of your mac! If you clicked the pictures on your mac you couldve copied the link and put around the link it would've saved you time bud :) looks a funky zee though, best of luck with it!
  11. edit - a chip will make naff all difference. I have a Dixon ECU and it makes negligable difference, it should (in theory) just mean the fuelling will be set to run higher boost than stock "safely".
  12. youll need a low restriction exhaust, air intake, ecu and high boost to see that figure.. I'd be tempted to lob some GTiR or S15 tub's on there along with the above if you are aiming for 100bhp more
  13. That up for sale again? Yeah all he's advertising is an audi V8 engine, good price but as Funky said will fit anything if you throw 4 grand at it lol
  14. The way I look at it - the research and time developing the system was done for a reason, and that wasn't to make the car handle like crap  It might not be ideal for drifters, but they want to lose traction - most people interested in acctually going fast want to aid it
  15. ah noodlebugs :( they gone
  16. I have no security on my car, which is fine for me as if a burglar took it it would save me a lot of money in mods, fuel and repairs - but one issue I face is that there's no childlock/central locking so girls can escape as soon as they've seen my face up close.. what would you recommend for a total enclosure system so as to ensure I reach first base more frequently? Yours Sincerely, David
  17. ^ Let us know your findings!
  18. I've never had a problem with hicas and I've lost my direction on the odd roundabout, more importantly for me it's great when parking.
  19. Happy birthday!!
  20. Probably more people have watched the DVD on this forum than in the rest of the UK.. I've seen clips of it and that was more than enough for me
  21. Good idea, yeah I've screwed it in finger tight with washers (didn't want to break it it's like tissue). What bonder would you suggest?
  22. I got the same thing arrive at my door today! And yep I was perplexed about that - it's a bit random but there ya go. Unfortunately only 1 of the 4 clips fit, but it seems secure!
  23. That's what I got just now on my car (dual exit mongoose quad tail) and I really dislike it.. :(
  24. Now compare that to mine and we have a long massive fuel tank held on by straps. Where's his fuel tank? Are the na's diff? I was hoping to fit a single exit in roughly the same position as one of those hks hiper mufflers but I can't see how it would work as my fuel tank gets in the way  Surely not everybody with an hks hiper system has to relocate their tank
