For the life of me I cannot find on this forum info about my horn fix, so it looks like I didn't post about it. I lost my horn like you, I couldn't figure it out why it wouldn't function and scratched my head like you are doing. I just put a fresh wire in from the steering wheel push to the the engine bay relay and this fixed it. Just rig it up initially and get it working, then tidy up through the bulk head, other than that vague info I cannot remember anymore !!

The only seal is the gasket around the light fitment, the rest is just the perpex mould against the body.

You'll only have a gap if the trims have shrunk over time!! Joking aside, I think it so you can get your sausage fingers in like Peage has said.

Solder joints and connections on the instrument cluster must also be checked.

Check the boost solenoid in the engine bay, right hand side near the bulk head. Then it’s wires, they go to the ECU.

You can buy extension leads, or at least you could 5 or so year ago. I have some somewhere.

Don't forget that there is a box, some call it black but I've seen brown ones and it lives on the RH rear light unit, failure could be here.

The extra 2 pins are for the heated glass, you just won't have that.
