  1. Managed to find the two copper washers and finally fitted the power steering hose. £80 worth of various fluids and everything should be topped up shortly. Was about to fill the radiator today too but luckily I noticed the drain plug was missing; anyone know where to buy a new one ? Fitting the front intercooler pipes tomorrow then time to jack the zed up a few ft ready to fit the gearbox.
  2. Can't figure this out unless its something to do with the front WordPress site interfering with the URLs. If I turned it off for a day then we will know for sure.
  3. Few things I need to get today, and I've added copper washers to my list. Need to do all the oils and fill up the radiator with distilled water too. Luckily I have a trade card for Halfords. My list is getting bigger every time I think about it : Engine oil. Brake fluid. Distilled water. Coolant additive. Copper Washers. VAC pipe. Coil Pack Bolts.
  4. lol. It needs a little polishing up still too.
  5. Still to fit my toad alarm to my zed but its got most of these goodies. By the wiring you should be able to control everything from the remote control ecu but when I tried I kept blowing fuses. I can get the boot to pop from the ecu and I can control the cabin light but that's it.
  6. ok, before I tighten this bolt and forget about it ! Should there be copper washers above and below the bolt ?
  7. Great work, I might try and refurb my mirror glass, one side is like new and the other is all rough and sun bleached.
  8. What a productive day today has been, strangely great weather too. Engine is back in, harness wired up, radiator and water pipes hooked up. Clutch booster system back in and connected; that was a bugger to fix. Tomorrow i'll jack her up and prepare to fit the clutch, flywheel, prop and exhaust. Might be close to starting her up in a few days.
  9. Harness now fitted along with the new pipework for the fuel rail.
  10. Just starting the harness now and getting that settled in. Had to print off the fitting manual as nothing is marked with a Wiring Specialities loom and you need to go by the wire colours.
  11. And she's back in.
  12. Weather is fairly calm at the moment so I think i'll put the engine in today.
  13. For the cost it won't be something I'll be replacing at the moment. I'll touch it up later with some paint if needed.
  14. Engine build more or less complete.
  15. ok, I will post them up shortly.
  16. Was Ian actually in the original photo ? Why does he look like he's been photoshoped in ?
  17. I'm not so sure we should open it as people are now creating there own threads again. The stats clearly show that the new thread count has increased since its closure.
  18. Managed to find some adapters so my dual air intake is now fitted.
  19. New helper at work.
  20. Also started to polish my plenum again and get it up to scratch. Over the last two years its taken a fair bruising and looked worse for wear. I've use a polishing kit for a Dremel but I think I need to find something bigger.
  21. ok, I think ive worked it out myself. The larger pipe goes on top and goes behind the turbo oil pipe.
  22. Have you got that pic Mike ? Or if anyone else can direct if these hoses are correct and exactly how they fit.
