  1. The current version of vBulletin can now allow recurring memberships. What this basically means is that if enabled on your next renewal your membership fee will change to Annual Recurring on PayPal. This in turn will mean your subscription will automatically renew each year until you say otherwise. I have added a poll to this thread as I would like to see what people think if this option is turned on. This will only effect current subscribers as the membership has to change to renewal first.
  2. Hi all, After a very successful AGM at Coventry on Sunday a few items on the site have now been moved about. The reason for these changes was generally discussed at the AGM and it is solely geared towards bolstering this site as a Club and not a Forum. The '300ZX Owners Club' as you can see by the change of logo at the top is the now official title of the club. -- To increase the benefits of your support to the club the following sections have now been moved into the 'Subscribed Sections' : 300ZX Club Merchandise - This is an old section but has been archived to the Subscribed area. The Games Room - Similar to media gamers usernames if listed are now protected from spammers and search engine leachers. Club Competitions - This section will be split and competitions with larger prizes may be reserved to Subscribed members. Z or Club Pics / Video / Media - You generally has to be subscribed to upload anything in this section, protecting it in the Subbed area prevents your pictures or media being plagiarised by search engines. Classified Listings - This is now solely reserved for Subscribed members for buying and selling. FAQ Storage Area - General help on the club is free but we think that this sections access should be reserved to subscribed members. --- We are working towards building a better club for everyone so we need to up our game. If anyone has any suggestions please let us know or PM any of the committee. As usual if anyone has any issues you are free to voice your opinions in a civilised manner. :) Regards Lee
  3. Why did you post this into the membership area ?
  4. Maybe that's something we should look at doing again, try and flash the pack up a bit. :)
  5. Various Bits and Bobs as pictured. I'm going to Coventry on Sunday so if anybody needs something let me know. Also have full oem suspension I can do for £60 if I bring it down. I'll get some more pics up shortly but everything going cheap so please ask as this is paying for my trip down. Cheers Lee
  6. Are they the same brand ? If not then no as they could have additives in the oil otherwise personally I think it should be ok.
  7. I've only named one of my zeds and look where that got me. I do plan to name the new one but just not found a suitable fit yet, also my boss told me that all cars in her lockup must have a name.
  8. Done two jobs today on the Zed, First took 20 minutes and that was to switch the front discs around as they were on the wrong way. Second job took closer to two and a half hours; why is it the smallest of jobs are the worst ones to do? All I had to do was swap out the front droplinks for new ones, but no one had to get stuck and I ended up getting the grinder out and cutting the damn thing off. Not a job I would like to do again.
  9. If its just dust and dry dirt then try compressed air either using a compressor or buy it in a can. Certainly wouldn't use any sort of pressure washer as that can lead to all sorts of electrical issues.
  10. Just out of curiousity Gary, who does the ID badges for us ? When we revamped the designs of the site and banners we should have done an updated ID card too.
  11. So the you basically flattened it out. Need to check the size of the disc I have and if it will clear the new calliper.
  12. That's one of the reasons I like to take plenty of pictures and post them up here, so folks like yourself can point out the things needing fixed.
  13. Thanks for the spot, just found the proper manual on ksports site; will get these sorted before the wheels go back on. :)
  14. Don't have instructions as I picked these up second hand, although they are in nearly new condition. Are you talking about the inner parts of the disc ? So just swap the left and right fronts and its sorted ?
  15. So need to replace all of the bushes on the knuckle shown below, apart from burning the hell out of them. Does anybody recommend a tool that can press them out ? I've already tried using the socket method and they wont budge.
  16. Fitting my big brake setup and managed to do the fronts easy enough but having issues with the back. The biggest being the brake dust shield for the OEM brakes. As you need the inner part of the shield for the handbrake what does everyone do in terms of separating the shield or trimming it back ? Its looks spot welded so i'm presuming you just drill out the welds or do people just cut off the larger piece ?
  17. Depends what you want to do. I've went for a full complement of parts and redone nearly everything : Rear Traction Rods - £89 Rear Camber Arms - £119 Rear Lower Arms £215 Rear Toe Rods - £129 Rear HICAS Eliminator - £179 Front Upper Camber Arms - £179 Front Lower Arms - £199 Front Geomaster Tension Rods - £119 Front Geomaster Tie Rods - £79 Individually they are expensive but they do sets if your planning on buying a few of them. Also 0% interest free option over 12 months which I took as I had so much stuff.
  18. Took the front bumper off so here's a better look at the new front setup
  19. Lastly fitted my 99 spec rear lights so the zed is looking more like a zed now.
  20. next issue is the brake dust covers, in order to fit the big brakes I need to trim these down. By the looks of it they look like they are two piece but are welded together. Anybody else had to trim these down to fit larger brakes ?
  21. After a few hours and lots of pain I finally got the back end of the zed stripped. Managed to disassemble the left side hub and knuckle without issue but I have a stuck bolt on the other with no way to get it off. I have a large breaker bar but I don't have a vice or a way to keep the hub from moving as I try to turn the bolt.
  22. You do know its a series 4 Hicas unit and as such its non hydraulic ! I'm sure I have the ECU kicking about somewhere, I'll do both for £115 posted as it weighs a ton and now a hard to get part.
  23. £10 posted you can have them. I'll take them off to save weight and give them a good clean. Wont get them posted until Monday if that's ok
