  1. Ooh very nice bud , you can,t beat a fresh paint job :thumbup::thumbup:
  2. Ayup Pete me old mucker how ya keeping ? how,s the lovely Lisa ( hubba hubba ) :drool::devil2::biggrin: It,s not Daves place , he lives in Aspley bud , apparently he,s got a few zeds on his front garden ! We need to have a meet one sunday and catch up bud :thumbup:
  3. Hmmm very interesting , i,ve heard about a collection of Zeds and a red Vert in West Bridgford and that,s where Gordon Road is :yes::yes: Might have to pop over and have a nosey :whistling: Nice find.
  4. Welcome bud , your zeds looking mighty fine :punk::punk::punk:
  5. I didn,t bake it bud painted it on a saturday morning and monday was the bank holiday so i new it had a good few days to air dry , went in on the tuesday flatted it using a block with 1500 wet n dry then used some 3000 DA pads on a palm sander DA with some soapy water to flat back to a smoother finish then hit it with a polisher , came up really well . I,ve never used the 3000 DA discs before , back in my day it was 1200 wet n dry and that was it ! but these discs are brilliant , makes polishing it sooo much easier . I,m gonna run the polisher over it again when it,s all done as it,s bound to have settled a bit by then . Mop it as early as you can as it,s easier then lightly re-do it later once fully cured , there,s nowt worse than trying to flat and polish paint that,s fully cured , it,s like trying to polish granite !! HTH
  6. Having a back , sack and crack :sweatdrop::sweatdrop:
  7. Very neat bud , looks completely different to any others :clap:
  8. OK just for you Graham , lol They,re just a pair of the ones that you,re suposed to stick on the outside of the mirror which looks 5hit so i cut a hole and used a hot melt glue gun to stick them on the inside and now they,re painted i,ve sealed them with a bit of sikaflex . :wink:
  9. It,s a dirty time consuming job , but well worth it :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
  10. The trouble is now i don,t want to go and spoil it by putting a number plate on it ! might have to look at one of those number plate hiding things :innocent::yes:
  11. Just remove your wiper arms and then there,s some plastic clips with plastic screw in the middle , remove the screw and clips and it should come straight off bud just bear in mind it might be a bit on the delicate side cos of it,s age . Any good motor factor should stock a range of aerosols specially developed for painting plastics , using a normal satin black aerosol is ok but it tends to start flaking and looking messy after a while cos it,s not really meant for plastics . hth
  12. Dropped the front together just to see what it looks like , me like !!
  13. Ooh very shiny Steve ! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
  14. Bloody ell it,s not far off cost me that to do my own !!!! Damn good price that b:scared: pssst what,s his number ? lol
  15. Congrats on the zed bud :clap: but take your time and get used to it , there,s alot of power waiting to catch you out , especially on bends :w00t::w00t:Enjoy !!!

  17. Looks sooo much better Graham :yes::yes::yes:
  18. Go to the scrapyard and get an injector connector of a vauxhall , they,re yellow, the alighnment ridge is in the wrong place but file the one of your sender and it goes straight on . A good few years ago i replaced all my engine loom connectors ( the injector style ones ) with grey off a volvo for the AIV , Yellow as above and black from Fords for the injectors , cost me £2 for a hand full of mixed ones , worked a treat.
  19. I,ve been told you can use the TT mounting bracket but use a spacer to make up for the shorter pump , has anyone come across or done this ? Thanks
  20. I,ve just seen this thread , your making a cracking job there bud :thumbup::thumbup: Are you a panel guy by any chance cos i,ve seen worse welding and repairs done by so called fully skilled panelbeaters i,ve worked with in the past ?? It takes time to get it how you want it but it,ll be well worth it in the end , i,m on the rebuild stage now but it,s took over a year to get there :hyper: Keep the pics coming bud :thumbup1:
