I,m struggling at the mo , say it,s modded and most don,t want to know , just had a quote of 8.5k on a compare sight !! lol i,m 45 FFS .

Seems so long ago when i started it but it,s just about done , needs a few little jobs finishing but today i took it for a blast down a industrial area to start setting up the boost controller , Me old mate Mantav8 came round to help set it up . It,s in need of a good clean , i dropped a pair of the white wheels on one side and the other ones i have on the other to see which i prefered , although both are gonna get used , i must say i liked the white ones better :blush: A big thanks to Darren for all his help , cheers mate : A few pics Wot no washer jets :no:

I,d got all new trims from Luke at the Z Centre and he did say the targa,s are a real P.I.N.T.A to strip down to fit the new trims so i sussed out an easier way. Remove the inner trim and the old outer trim which will leave it,s clips behind as they,re screwed from behind , i put a few bits of masking tape inside adjacent to where the clips sit , using a large pair of mole grips or something similer , put a drop of paint on one end , now position the other end on the remains of the clip , pull the molegrips closed until you get a paint mark on the inside of the trim , this is now right over the head of the screw . I used a Forstener bit as it drills a flat hole but and large drill or small hole cutter would work , carefully drill through the plastic inner revealing the screw heads , remove the old screws and clips and fit the new trim with a drop of sealer on the base os the clips to stop any water ingress , piece of pi55. BTW he did say not to try and bang the new trim onto the old clips as the little barbs would have sheared off when removing the old trim and the new one will never sit right .HTH :wink:

I,ve just fitted a nearly new engine loom and i,ve used connector protector as used in the marine industry and filled all the connectors , should stop any future deterioration :thumbup:

I,ve was told if you did this the tickover will be high cos the ecu isn,t altering the timing :confused1::confused1::confused1:

The neutral switch has to be connected to pin 44 on the ecu wiring plug , http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=149838 On this diagram the wire looks yellow with a black stripe , it,s not it,s YELLOW with a BLUE STRIPE , just did mine a couple of days ago . HTH

They,re the same as K11 Micra side repeaters , i got some yeterday from a scrapper :thumbup:

I tinted some on a Opel Manta a few years back and used a normal 2 pack laquer with a few drops of black mixed in to give a glossy smoked effect , the light were prepared using grey Scotchbrite and it never came off and looked factory cos they were gloss , the only thing to look out for is not all paint schemes will allow colour to be mixed with laquer , just depends on the brand ,HTH

Check the track control arm nuts for tightness and inspect the lower arms as they can crack around these two nuts :crying::crying:

I never did suss out the correct connections for the reverse lights even after Jeff put some pics up of the wires i needed to connect to , in the end i thought sod it and didn,t bother with them and are now using them as fog lights with red led bulbs in but the really odd thing is that the reverse switch isn,t connected but when i put it in reverse the reversing bong starts :confused1::confused1::confused1:
