  1. right then, daily drive, so: 1 - 18000 miles pa 2 - alloys, spoiler, bumper, exhaust. 3 - 91 tt 4 - 1 conviction for speeding (clean for 18 years aside from that) 5 - 53 ( but don't act it.. lol.. still don't know what I want to be when I grow up!!) adrina flux are quoting me £550 my problem... finding another company to insure with high mileage.
  2. you may just have an air pocket due to the coolant change but to be safe you need to check further, fill it back up and keep an eye on it. you should be able to get a test done for gas (Co2) in the coolant, this would be an indication that you have a blown head gasket. it could also be that your rad is blocked or your water pump isn't working. you really need a mechanic to take a look... but don't let them do any work just diagnose the problem.
  3. it can be done but you're not doing it any favours... and what if it isn't that? and you're making it worse...
  4. I did find some on ebay some time back but due to their fragility and sometimes having faults I found it best to just go to the local electrical supplier. I can send you a set of pre cut ones if you want them... they will be the shape of the insert and will need to be stuck to it for bet results. I can provide a guide as well... lets say £7 posted (and I'll emails you the guide). email me medallion_man@blueyonder.co.uk if interested.
  5. brand is up to you. I use Castrol 15W40 Semi, but I guess 10W40 is also OK. there are plenty of posts about this subject. :)
  6. Hi and welcome... plenty of info in the FAQ section on buying... a lot of engine work on these cars is a pig and if not then just awkward... :) best of luck...
  7. yes... that the problem now... if they aren't centring the wheel right then it's not worth having them... go to a wheels shop they should have some on the shelf... take a wheel off and into the shop.... (66.1mm for the hub)
  8. yeah... top rad pipe coming out of the block... there are two temp sender units on it.... one is for the gauge (one spade) the other with two spades (on the right) is for the ecu... take the connector off and check it... if it's OK and or if not and you clean it and still have the problem then undo the sender unit (or test in situ) :) this any help?
  9. they are the 600 x 600 light diffuser panels, available at most electrical suppliers.. about £5
  10. Hi, as Andy said check the ecu temp sender unit first (the two pin one on the front water pipe). check the connector for corrosion and good contact. if that is OK you can check the resistance of the unit when hot and cold.
  11. lol... yeah, totally agree defo worth the repost... i had to stop reading... I was making a real scene at work, couldn't stop laughing out loud... good call...
  12. Hi mate... yeah, very funny... I was crying with laughter when I first read them... but I think its a repost.. :) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?160723-Veet-Mens-Hair-Removal-Cream-you-have-to-read-this!!&highlight=veet
  13. some very nice pis... cheers.. I watched a TV program about the cars stuck in the ground... some artist guy did them and if I remember they get painted over and over or something like that.
  14. yeah, that is plenty.... the difference is amazing,, :)
  15. sorry no... but you can say hi to my car for me.. :)
  16. time to bring back capital punished.. we really don't need people like that alive....
  17. thanks Richard (and guys).... yeah, pushing the budget and bought Jaffa's forged block, Jeff is getting what he can from my old engine and aside from a few bits I'm getting, supplying the rest... :) once that's done, mechanically it should be good.... just have to wait till i get enough cash together to fix the body.
  18. don't know if he is or not but it won't be for me.... i don't really have the budget or time for that and i hate the idea of having it back in the car.... i really don't even want to start on what i think of Ztech. Oh and strangely enough it didn't sound too bad!?!?! what amazes me is that it kept on going up and down the motorway like that!!
  19. right so just working it out with Jeff if i can afford to go down this road or i need to look at something more in the stock range of things... I'll PM Jaffa later with my decision.. cheers both..
  20. yeah, was going to anyway... cheers for the link... got to drive back to torquay right now.... so going off the forum for a couple of hours....
  21. Yeah I knew that Ztech had done work on the car but I didn't know until now just how much of a "Job" they did on Leigh ....
  22. great thanks Mark... Jaffa, let me know the details of it and what you want for it and I'll talk to Jeff... :) feeling a lot better now.. cheers guys..
  23. mate, thank you as well... I need to get Jeff in on this to confirm what I need but a forged block would be great. what components are forged and what are you looking for it.. if you could both pm me the details I can see how that goes into by budget and pass it on to Jeff.. cheers again. :)
  24. would need to speak to Jeff as to what is required.. but that is a great offer thanks... if you want to PM him with exactly what you have I would appreciate it...
  25. it's all in the post... but is short he was "Z tech"..... mind he did have the turbos, pullies, injectors & fly on the engine.... but it was still very much a rip off !!
