A Little Advice Please
Hi and welcome...

High Idle
Oh, I didn't mention Boost vac leaks... always worth getting/making a plug to do this check as well (goes in place of the MAF).... a real pain to find sometimes. :) I hope that's enough to be getting on with... Also try unplugging the O2's (if the other stuff doesn't fix the problem).

High Idle
Hi and welcome.... there are a number of issues that can cause issues with high/erratic idle. so from easiest first.... check the connector for the ecu temp sender unit (top water pipe, the one with two spade connector), make sure its clean (while your at it undo, clean and reseat any other connectors you can find, take care as some are hard to get the clips undone and mat be brittle, include the battery). check for fuel leaks on the fuel rail, the rubber hoses often leak. don't forget the MAF (under the nose panel), the filter could also do with a check, clean /replacement. the IAA is a regular for needed in a clean or adjustment... but there are other setting that need to be checked as well. there is a guide to resetting the Throttle Bodies (really worth doing, you don't know who's been pissing around with it before you) the TPS needs to be checked (around 0.45 volts), the timing should also be checked (15 tdc). then set the idle with the IAA adjustment. nothing wrong with making sure the engine is earthed properly and has regular oil changes (15W40 semi), fuel/oil filters and the right plugs (PFR6B-11C) all this stuff can be found in the techFAQ section or search in forum, you'll find link to other sites with info. get yourself a diagnostic system (Conzult has a free one) with the adaptor/connector (£15 ebay), it will make things easer. a few that might help: http://z32.wikispaces.com/ http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?cat.8 http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/tech/tech.aspx

Hello from hospital
all my best wishes..

Still bad running, vid included
Well there is your problem straight away... "non genuine belt" notorious for being crap (not lined up right)... just ask JeffTT , he wont fit anything other than Nissan. My advise would be to get a genuine belt and redo it. best of luck.

99 Spec Rear lights..confused
thanks pal... that is some compliment coming from you... the LED's in the tail light section are only used during braking so no issue with brightness. I was going to do a lower wattage set (using a resistor to reduce current) for tail lights but didn't want to go to all that trouble it it looked crap.. LOL... I still have the standard bulb fitments with LED''s in them as well..... still won't be on the car for a few weeks as it's very sick and going to Zedworld for a head gasket replacement (new rad, timing belt & waterpup.. plus extras). Also when I get her back got to get welding and rust work done.... oh and new BYCAS... So, by the end of the year I'll be at least £3k lighter in the pocket (if I'm, lucky)..lol... Never had a head job as a Christmas present before.. :)

Almost finished.. pic of lights pre-assembly but ready to go back together.. LED strips (without the normal bulbs) so I'm king of happy with them and I'll be going ahead with them....

z rear light bulbs
you need to look on ebay... indicators are 382 (or 1156 or BA15S) search for then with "resistor" break bulbs are 380 (or 1157 or BAY15d) I get most of my ones from http://www.wardenjp.com/ (they also sell on ebay) don't know if they do with error elimination built in to bulb.. please note that it's expensive.. i just took out the warning bulb in the dash.. lol..

z rear light bulbs
agreed.. but you need to do one of these to stop the "bulb out" warring light: 1 - get them with build in resistors 2 - get resistors to add to the circuit 3 - take out the warring light bulb.

99 Spec Rear lights..confused
this is the set I'm currently doing for my car.. it will give it the look of the car at the top, with a clear looking finish at some angles... I've put led strips in it to compliment the led bulbs that will go in the standard holders. (if it looks crap they'll be coming back out..lol..) lenses held down while silicone hardens. the red lens is to go in now.

LOL... how did you work that out????? more like 5 mins once I decided to do it, but I did have to find the links on the other site :tongue_smilie: agreed... but be careful if someone has done them before and used silicone to put them back together, you never can tell what people do on these cars... :winkiss:
