  1. wouldn't trust them with a skate board... :( they tried to rip my wife off once (£300) for work that wan't needed... never again....
  2. let me know if you're having issues with the email address.... :) or post your one up and I'll email you the guide.
  3. Hey, do you still want the clear rear lenses... if you do, see thread in help section about the 99 spec tails...
  4. Hey, right cheapest I can get them to you though the post office is £10.25 international signed for... so how does £16 sound to you? email me at medallion _ man @blueyonder.co.uk and I'll send you my paypal address... and the guide...
  5. anyone tried or seen this... it's free.. I saw in on the Oz forum.. http://sourceforge.net/projects/dr300zx/
  6. I'll try and pack them up as light but safe as possible ... I hope that will be enough.... but I'll still have to confirm next week. (If I don't pack them well enough and they get broken it defeats the point and neither of us want that) ... :) my email is medallion _ man @ blueyonder.co.uk, email me your delivery address and I'll sort of lenses and instructions and send you my pay pal address. I'm currently at work (all the long weekend I'm afraid), I'll be back home on Wednesday and will cut the lenses and pack them up for postage then and confirm cost (then you can decide). cheers.
  7. Oooohhh, what one did you strip? if it's the one that hold on the metal bracket you can do away with it and get a littler more thread... try and find a slightly longer bolt and use some lock tight and don't do it up to hard... pulling the plenum is a right pain and even though not a hard job will take some time and will require more gaskets. tapping alloy is also a pain and would only recommend it to the experienced... I had to re-tap two of the holes for the balance bar and I really didn't enjoy it. not to mention that putting it all back together might result in more thread loss. but someone else might have a better idea ....
  8. I got ECU talk to work fine with one of the ebay connectors... and was looking at this one for an all in one USB solution.. but have no idea if it will work or how well.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300772340513?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648
  9. if you can't follow that diagram then you are better off getting the connection hardness from Nissan ( the part number is clear in the PDF instructions in the link).
  10. almost a world of difference... amongst some of the things, the free version only has: one readout for the O2. limited views of information. unable to save live data to log. no analysis of the ecu map. BUT so a not to rubbish it totally, it is useful and will help to rule out a load of issues and easy error code view.
  11. Hi, Yeah, can't see why not... you have my email address... need to confirm postage costs to where you are first before I can confirm cost... :)
  12. if you decide that you need to test another switch I think I have a spare I can post to you, it it works then you can give me a few quid and if not you can post it back to me.. but yes check the relay (if there is one), and same colour relays are interchangeable (makes it easy to test) .
  13. lol... cracking thread... (no pun intended) pissing myself laughing... keep up the great banter...
  14. Agreed, all respect is due to these guys risking their lives for our protection... and as far as I'm concerned they are underpaid.
  15. not too hard a job at all... all I would say is take your time and be careful, plastic this old can be brittle... :)
  16. another not so common one is the fuel tank filler neck... worth a check. of course there is always a leaking injector and also worth checking the ecu temp sender as that can cause the car to run rich and smell of fuel. good luck.
  17. also have a look here: http://stadzport.com/FSM/EFEC_Engine_Fuel_Emissions_Control.pdf page 69 .. might help..
  18. have you checked the ecu temp sender unit?
  19. mmm, well like Z32bolt says, I'd be checking the sender unit... (drivers side near the bonnet hinge)_check the hose to it is on and not broken or cracked. check that it's connected right and not damaged, you could take it off and blow/suck into it.. if it doesn't hold pressure you know its broken. check all the rest of the hoses it's connected to... I guess that's a start.
  20. did the two things start happening at the same time?
  21. sound like a plan to me.. :)
  22. this is what it says on the DTA site... http://dta-motorsport.com/ Full Conzult package. The ultimate diagnostic kit for the 300ZX and other Nissans The kit includes: » DDL interface cable (with genuine Nissan connector) » USB converter » Conzult-Z32 software » ROM-examiner software (Z32 version) » Extensive user manual » unlimited software support » unlimited free software updates Price: 269 EUR so they supply the usb connector... however that is for the full package and costs 269 Euros !!! the "Conzult-Z32 software only" to use with third party lead is half the price.
  23. I wonder if they'd show more interest id you talked about a group buy for the club?
