  1. I'm no expert but 370 to 400 is easily achievable... you're best way forward is a writeable chip in the ecu along with the usual exhaust, air filter, induction and injector modifications.. have a look at the Dyno results thread and then check out the cars and their mods that are getting that kind of power...
  2. hey and welcome... what spec car do you have?
  3. LOL... not piss easy at all... I agree it is a job that most people could do but so is driving and it's obvious that lots of people can't drive for peanuts!!!! Preparation and care will give you a nice finished job.
  4. Right... it's unlikely to be just one thing... you need to do a full PM on the car first to rule out all the silly little things... do run the ecu diags to see if there are any codes (best with a conzult or similar system) but you can just run the codes off the ecu. check and clean all connectors, everyone you can see and find, including MAF (under the front panel), CAS, TPS, PTU, injectors, coil packs, ecu temp sender unit... check filters, petrol, air... check plugs. check TPS voltage (do a search there are guides) you only need a volt meter. you really need a Conzult cable and software, even the free version will do so you can check readings from the ecu. take your pic... http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313.TR10.TRC0.A0.Xconzult.TRS0&_nkw=conzult&_sacat=0&_from=R40 you will also be able to use other software with it like ecutalk and dr300zx ..etc...
  5. done... three guides and some tips... best of luck.. any questions just ask.. :)
  6. Hi, please remind him of my stuff as well..
  7. mark, pm me your email address and I'll send you a copy of my guide... it's a composite of a few I found on the net and my own additions.. I can even provide you with the lenses if you don't want to cut your own...
  8. yeah, I work shifts and actually spend more time on the forum when at work than when at home (on my days off)... :)
  9. that looks too good to put on a car.. :)
  10. yeah, like Terv says, the lack of spigot rings can cause vibration... the camber can be a result of lots of things (as can the wobble) I would hazard they are related but that's not a certain. if you have after market adjustable upper control arms (these are usually associated with lowering springs) one could be damaged. if not then there may be an issue with the standard control arm, the bushed could be shot, that would also explain wobble at speed and under breaking. one of your springs could be shot (although unlikely) it does happen some tines but that would be associated with the car being lower on one side. it could also be the bushing in the lower control arm, again throwing the bottom out and also giving you that wobble. you need it up on an MOT ramp to move the whole assembly around (before spending any money of rotors). best of luck.
  11. yeah my understanding is that they are illegal.... you might get away with it as long as it isn't obvious you have them on the car, but if you forget and flip them up and a cop sees you... well ......
  12. really.. I'd guess around the £30 on the forum.... maybe more in ebay or gumtree
  13. now you're talking.. :)
  14. £10 posted... :D...
  15. I found they weren't good enough... easy to nip out the local ASAD and just do it there... or if you have a friendly mechanic or panel beater...
  16. all of the above... and here is some light reading fro you... http://z32.wikispaces.com/Factory+Service+Manual did you used to have any hobbies before you bought the Zed? and let me assure you that it is "used to"... :)
  17. as turbo removal from the engine involves undoing oil lines then there is a possibility that oil may be in places that it shouldn't be. If you say that these turbos didn't smoke before and you are happy to use them then go ahead. However if you are spending a lot of money on the engine you are better off making sure that the turbos are in good condition before using them and just asking on here isn't going to do that for you. They should be sent off for testing.
  18. nice looking car... now, down to spending all your money on it... :)
  19. local auto specialist... pretty much irrelevant unless they have experience on Zeds.... do a search on this forum for garages and you might find somewhere close to home that at least knows Zeds.. if its only the job you mention then shipping it to Jeff and back would be heaps cheaper than that and he would give it the one over as well.... mind you there very well could be a heap of things wrong with it... good luck.
  20. no they have built in spigot rings... nice and snug.. (see first post about them #548) no, R33 disks and callipers, got them from Conceptua tuning (they are on ebay) but not far from me so I just go to them.
  21. pic of them on the car.... feels much better... but still hasn't sorted of the judder when breaking... :(
