unfortunately due to the nature of these cars there aren't very many garages that are familiar with them and so that is why so many owners try to self diagnose problems. if there is a smell of petrol once warmed up it could be as simple as the ecu temp sender unit not working... see if you can get it on conzult or ecutalk to check sensors are working (there might be a member local). the best thing to do is pull preventative maintenance and that will then rule out any easy simple things. there are a number checks you can do... one is to check and clean every connector you can find including the battery (if you are going to mess with the one on the ecu it's best to unplug the battery first). the clips on some of there are difficult to undo but take your time and be careful, some of the connectors are brittle and may break so don't force them. check the air filter/s and replace fuel filter and spark plugs with the proper ones for this car (go back to factory standard and you can't go wrong). here are some good guides: http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=technical&msg_id=922678&forum=technical&dtSearch=2 http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.335 http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.230 http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.221 best of luck..

I did a little bit of searching some time ago and found out that there was a large number of ecu codes. (not sure if this is any help to you).. the first part of the number seemed to stay the same: 23710 but the second part varied a lot - 40P01 - 40P11 - 40P03 - 40P13 - 37P06 - 1992 RHD on the parts catalogue ( but I don't know how that would make a difference) - 37P16 - 1992 RHD - 37P01 - 1992 LHD - 37P11 - 1992 LHD and more... it looks like any number with the second last digit as a "0" (i.e. 01) is for the manual and if its a "1" (i.e. 11) is for the auto (didn't look into NA and TT) but mine is a TT and the number is - 41P03

sport on... agreed... you can get bulbs with built in resistors and resistors to add on to the harness but why spend the extra ££££ money or do the extra work when the above solutions are just fine.

Hi, yeah, would have been my guess... but how come it's cold? looks like a fun job for tomorrow... bypass.... :(

car was already warm... drove up the road and back (about 5 or 10 minutes).. when I pulled up I noticed this on the floor.... but it was cold and wasn't there before I left... any thoughts?
