Whilst its all taken apart, (rad out, coolant hoses + water pump off) should I flush the engine through with fresh water (from a hose pipe) the clear out all the rust and gunk and other crud thats in there?

Been a silly sod and managed to spill about a tea cup's worth of coolant onto the cam belt where it wraps around the crank, immediatly rinsed it off with copious ammounts of fresh water, will I be ok or is it new cam belt time (again) only done about 5000 on this belt... Cheers Dave

Just finished taking off all the cack to get to the water pump and..... its absolutely fine, 100% perfect, not a hint of damge, seems to be completly mint... NUTS.... strange as I had every symptom of a pump failure.... Oh well time to start putting it back together... Anybody got a link to an exploded diagram of the pulleys and belts (so I can reference where everything goes back!! rather than just from memory! :D ) also where the little key thingie goes in the crank for the under drive pulley, mine was missing so ryan sent me a new one (little semi circle thing) cant work out where it goes though.... :slap: Cheers Dave

used to get 175, discovered the hold switch on the auto box and can get 250 if im careful but to be honest that doesnt happen very often! :D My AIVs are full of water and I understand that may affect fuel economy a little (could be wrong though) Think it cost in the region of 60 sheets for a full tank (optimax) but the cars been off the road for so long I cant rightly remember!

http://www.turbobits.co.uk do a kit that looks a bit better suited to the 300zx, that spray bar would not be much good for the zed IC's (plus you would need two!!) You could make a kit for about £30 if you were that way inclined...

the missus has just done this bit of her course at police academy, jammers illegal, GPS doo-dads fine, some forces even encourage them and the radar detectors are a bit of a grey area and apparently there are moves afoot to ban em... not that that will stop me using any of them! :D

i've got the bluei which has a separate antenna which sits in the corner of the windscreen in front of the steering wheel, never had any probs, does the angel have a built in antenna?

ello, My underdrive pulley seems to have taken a bit of a beating at some point, with lots of chunks (about the diameter to a 5p coin) taken out of the rim on the back of the pulley... some (pretty poor) pics attached, just wondered if this was enough to put it out of balance... would love to fit a light weight one whilst im doing it but cant really shell out the big sheets for an unorthodox one at the moment.. I used the switched live to the stereo for wiring in my speed trap stuff, so it comes on automatically when the car is started and I cant forget to turn it off and end up with a flat battery. I think the fuse is 15amp for this which should be more than enough to run your tunes as well as the road angel. those that are into oopper dooper sound systems will probably say this is bad for the sound quality or something but i've got a fairly basic system and it doesnt seem to harm it... im a bit mutton anyway :D

I quit smoking several weeks before christmas, not a single fag, then started again at about 12:01 on new years day!!! talk about arse-about-face !!!!! :D
