Bloody Traffic Police again.....
Was reading through the missus's police force newspaper last night, read an interesting atricle that did get my back up a little... Was about the case to prosecute some chaps over an artic car transporter that had crap brakes and left the road killing a 78 year old woman in southampton. The whole case took 10,400 man hours of police work, cost 10's of thousands of pounds, invloved several searches of the transport companies premisis and rock solid evidence was found that the two owners of the company had falsified service records for the vehicle in question. (they even admitted to it and pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice) the end result was that the driver got two years for manslaughter, and the two owners got a lesser sentence for perverting justice. Now the article summed up by saying what a huge sucess this was, cant quite see it myself, they tried and failed to prosecute the owners for manslaughter (lets face it, it was thier fault) the poor driver got banged up for trying to hold down a job, how was he to know the brakes were shite. And the sting in the tail is the driver has apparently since killed himself in jail and one of the managers has died of a heart attack inside...!!!!! I just cant see how justice has been served here, cant think of a better outcome but it just doesnt seem right to me... plus there was an article bragging about the new BMW x5 traffic cars.... I thought the police were supposed to be skint?!?!?!?!

NZR - PMSL two stroke engine problem....
Hardly high tech, fella next door has got himself one of those silly little toy motorbikes. Only prob is the fecker wont go! Its pretty much a lawnmower engine on it so fairly simple. Starts and runs ok but a big fat 0 torque, lifting up the rear wheel and open the throttle wheel spins fine, can also run down the road by the side of it and it shoots off. sit on it, and no go, will strain and stall if you open the throttle too far. Done all the basics, fuel/oil mix is fine, primed it, fuel is turned on and can be seen in the fuel line. any ideas? its brand spanking so nothing should be worn out on it..... Cheers

NZR need a server
I know a few of you are IT bods as wells as me, can you advise.... Need a new server roughly the following spec 2.8ghz P4 or similar Xeon (are the Xeons that much quicker?) 1GB RAM 160gb disk space(3x80gb) (Need raid5 controller, preferably IDE cos its cheaper and isnt going to be that busy a server only handful of users) Any ideas whats best to buy, dell is cheap(ish) about £900 for something like this, just wondered if there were any cheaper brand or unbranded (if thats a good idea) and where to get them from... on a bit of a tight budget... Cheers Dave

ZX Advice please!
Are there any things to be cautious about if I end up having to buy an older model? Not really there are a few changes in later models, PTU springs to mind but nothing to loose any sleep about. very early cars dont have HICAS (4 wheel steering gubbins) but lots of people remove it anyway (mine doesnt have it, at least I dont think it does :D ) just make sure you get one thats been looked after lots of dogs for that price... Spose they're like all Jap cars, reliable as anything so age and mileage rarely matter as long as it's been taken care of! sort of, will look after your wallet if you look after it! :D much more to go wrong on a zed than a lot of other turbo cars... and you will always have the 14yr old car niggles (perished rubber hoses stuff like that) a lot of it isnt rocket science to do yourself, some bits though are much better left in the hands of a pro Speaking of which, what kinda service intervals do they have and are they expensive to service or will I find it pretty comparable to my current car? you'll be wanting to change the oil on a regular basis (anywhere between 3-6k miles) if you're buying an older high milage motor make sure the cambelt and ancilary belts were changed and the water pump replaced (5-600sheets if it hasnt been done) this is a MUST or you may be looking at a new engine/rebuild Not too bothered on petrol consumption, as I'm used to it being pretty poor from caning the 2, expect low teens per gallon for a tt also again insurance costs are high since mine is heavily modified, so don't think it'll be too much of a shock for me ;) subscribe to the forum and get a brilliant quote from houghtons (member discounts I think) they do classic car policies which are cheap as chips even with mods (if you have a garage/drive to put the car on, no on street parking) Are the zeds likely to need a specialist garage or will any competent garage do, I have a set one who are the only ones I trust with the MR2, so would plan to take it there. you'll be wanting to take it to a specialist every time, Z-tech have not had a bad word said about them, SE / Nisstek / Silvia Engineering get a mixed bag of feedback so do Zedworld just take your time when you come to buying and with prices like they are now 3k will get you a pretty tidy car, make sure you look at lots before you part with your hard earned!!! You certainly wont regret buying a zed they are bags of fun!! :D

Help 2 Cylinders Not Working!!!!!!!!
if you have a multi meter you can check that there is a current to the coilpack connectors also check/clean the connectors on the PTU if you havent already. then its probably new PTU time! :(
