Venue Recommendations
Been to a nice pub recently that does great food and would be ideal for a meet??? Been to a go-karting site that show whos the best driver in the region??? Know any paintballing places that offer good rates for groups??? If you can think of ANYWHERE that you think would make a great place to have a meet..... let us all know. Name the venue, give some details on what makes it ideal for a meet, and post a link, and ill do my level best to organise a meet for us all to enjoy. Get naming peeps Nick The List Skirmish Paintballing at Lasham superb for group events - they'll do a bbq for you, arrange large group games etc - I use them for work events occassionally: http://www.skirmishlasham.com/ Goodwood motor circuit very very helpful and allow clubs to use the paddock area for meets etc - no contact details with me but googling them should be easy enough. http://www.goodwood.co.uk/ Hayling Island Sailing club Host car events too. Also "Inn on the Beach" on Hayling - they host the hot rod events every summer. http://www.hisc.co.uk/hisc2.asp Thorney Island Army Base Have the capabilities to host a (BIG) event if necessary - but can't image 300zx.co.uk could get enough people together. http://forcesthorneyisland.2day.ws/ "The Seven Stars" Public House on the A272 Near the A3 at petersfield has amazing food, good beer and a superb car park ideally suited to car meets. (Several clubs i've belonged to used it). The A272 is also a legendary route for spirited driving. http://www.multimap.com/hotels/?title=Pubsulike%20The%20Seven%20Stars&hloc=GB|GU323PG Beaulieu Motor Museum Have a paved area for car clubs to display on, have a good canteen, and obviously there is the museum and plenty of other attractions for the rest of the family. http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/

A couple of quick reminders:
First things first, Julys Phoenix Monthly Meet is on Sunday the 6th July at 2PM, last month we managed to get 11 cars, lets see if we can beat that and make the best of whatever bitish summer we have. Details are on this thread http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=110239 Secondly, can you all cast your eyes on this thread: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=111989 , obviously I would like to get a good few out for this, so this is YOUR chance to choose when i best for you! Take a gander at this to see whats planned http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=111945 I know money is tight for most, BUT please do not feel that you HAVE to bring your zed to any meet. Its as much about the people as it is the cars ;) Peace:smw: Nick

What is happening to our club ?
I find attracting newer members to come down to meets a real problem. It just seems to be the same people every month, which on one hand is great, because we all get to know each other it forms a great atmosphere. On the other hand, from an REO's point of view it is a touch disheartening. As previously said, i dont think its the organisers, its very much the attitude of people not wanting to commit to anything. Im in a slightly more unique position where I have Madmarco, who is the REO on the zedclub for the SC are, and we both get on really well. Last months phoenix meet was ace as it was a bit of a joint meet for this club and the zed club, and i hope its something we can continue. I dont know how I personally can improve things, but its something im going to spend to some time thinking about!

A series of problems resulting from the trip to Le Mans
I think your right cooper, the speed sensor is on the gear box, but my speedo is working fine/showing no faults. I dont think its the speedo conversion either, cant think why this would cause the HICAS light to come on the dash. Andy, if i cant use conzult, what diagnostics program is used for series 4 and onward cars??

A Warning to those with Euro Break Down cover!/My horror story
I wouldnt say completely give it a miss, to privatly flat bed the zed back to the ferry port i was using would have been about 1500 euros. What i will say is, im sure there must be options for getting your car home in an emergency that would cost a reasonable amount and would be a dam site less hassle. For example, if they insisted the car was to stay for RAC to container it home, i got a quote to trailer it to Le Harve, which was only 320 euros, and a ferry ticket to P'mouth would have been about £100. So for the same amount of money, i would have had a dam site less stress

A Warning to those with Euro Break Down cover!/My horror story
No, nothing when i left. I did manage to sneak onto the track after the race a do a full lap of the closed curcuit, and the first sign was it would slip if i made a quick down change from 5th to 4th and then floor it, but it was only a slight slip, maybe 500rpm slip before settling. Ive never known a clutch to go so quickly! Oh btw, if you got a phone call asking for Karen when you were in lemans, it was me using someone elses phone and it didnt show names up on who i was calling, sorry :D
