  1. I assumed TT ones were also NLA. Something for me to order then!

Will see what the future brings, but as much as I’d like to, it’s pretty unlikely

I’m unlikely to make this even this year with baby on the way and the financial commitments I’ve already made. Shame as this years trip was brilliant
  4. Something else I forgot to add to the list is that I’m having one of the blanked off ports into the oil galleys opened up and machined for an AN fitting block off. The plan in the future is to plumb in an Accusump System, but have it fed directly into the oil galley that supplies the crank rather than using a sandwich plate arrangement. That in combination with the extended baffled sump should provide as much protection for the bottom end as possible, short of going for a full dry sump
  5. Yes I’ve read that thread and spoke to rob over Pm. Looks like I’ll be fine. No, I’ve bought a core bottom end from Mitch, but I’m shipping my heads etc for him to CNC port and then build a Long Block, and I’ll put the rest on when it’s shipped back

Just awaiting confirmation that if I wire it into the relevant pins in the ECU that it’ll recognise the new signal input
  7. Yes, cooler was replaced with an updated item and lines were cleaned. The previous build didn’t have any bearing damage or debris in the oil. This time, both cooler and lines will be replaced
  8. Dam straight we do! I’m just waiting on confirmation on compatibility for a particular part and my Haltech. I’m 99% sure it’ll work with no issues, but I want to confirm before I commit to it, it’s not a cheap bit of kit
  9. Yeah, I was reffering purely about ceramic coating his wheels. As for paint, I think the ceramic does help protect against mild swirls etc, but anything above that would require matchine polish correction..... and from what I hear, it’s bloody hard going on ceramic coating paint surfaces
  10. You don’t need to remove them mate, they naturally just lose their effectiveness. They can be topped up every couple of years with a another coat or two.
  11. Erm.... a little. Last chance saloon for my Z really. If things don’t work out after this, then it’ll be going.
  12. Great product. Good choice
  13. Well this evening I committed to my future engine plans. Watch this space for future updates..... as per usual I’ve decided on a few parts that very few, if anyone in the UK is currently running. Exciting times
  14. From what I saw, Stiggy has been at the pies!
  15. Glad that I managed to get my car on the stand.... even in picture form (cheers Ian!)
  16. Just got home. Brilliant day. As others have said, stand was fantastic and presented the club brilliantly. Nice to put names to a few faces of people I should have probably met by now, and people I’ve never met before. Also amazing to hear so many people pass buy complement all of the Z’s on the stand.
  17. Look at the Cold start enrichment aswell. Have you got the AFR reading displayed on your laptop? It’ll be worth datalogging a start up procedure and look at your AFR’s. You’ll want to be in the 12’a on cold start
  18. Looks brill. See you all Saturday
  19. Ok, so... 1) you sure that’s fuel that’s leaked out the exhaust and not just condensation tainted with fuel? If that much fuel made it into the exhaust I think you’d have hydrolocked the engine 2) have you checked you timing is set to 15deg BTDC? It’ll struggle to start if it thinks it’s at 15 Deg but actually isn’t. You’ll need a timing light to verify 3) increasing fuel pump priming time won’t effect it actually running. The noise you’re hearing from your pressure reg is due to fuel prime being too long and it’s returning fuel back to the tank. You want to either adjust your post start enrichment, or your main fuel table (which is what I’d do). If you want to bring your laptop to the NEC on Saturday I can show you how to make the adjustments you’ll need 4) you sure that oil line is torqued up correctly? The copper washer should take out any surface corrosion on that joint (because it’s such a soft metal)
  20. Doh, Quoted the wrong post. Here’s a little write up on the OE crank girdle

  23. Depends what I find when I inspect them. If they behave as they should, I’ll continue with them. If not, I’ll probably looks at Scat or Carrillo
  24. It’s not the bolts, it’s the rods. They’re not putting up enough resistance to cause the bolts to stretch. Whether it’s a forging issue or something else I’m not sure. As for the crank girdle, I’ll see if I can find the few bits I’ve read. I’m fairly sure BDE, EPR and a couple of others have written down their beliefs around the limitations of the OE girdle. I’ll see if I can find the bits I’ve read
