Oh and yes, i would change them all. Its not worth doing a job like that and not changing all of them, when it is just as likely another one will fail as soon as you start the thing back up

the only one i can answer is Q2. alot. Plenum and all the gubbins connected to it (coils, boost pipes etc) CAS, rocker covers, cam shafts. Without an engine in front of me i can give a detailed answer, im acting on a 2 yr old memory. It may seem like alotm but as most will say, its a pretty straight forward job if you just take your time. Nick

Good oil pressure is a good sign. If your sure its coming from the top end of the engine then id put money on the hydaulic lifters, a couple went on my old zed and it sounded bloody awefull. TBH i have no idea what causes the lifters to become noisey, youll have to ask someone with a bit more knowledge than me, but without hearing it, thats what id put my money on Quite and easy job, but time consuming. Thought the zeds had Hydraulic lifters not tappets? No oil round to the hydraulic lifters after being sat for a while vini. Oil change and a good run should sort it right out

Ive seen a few MR's with those "front spoilers" on. It looked shite when i first saw it, and it still looks Shite now!!!

Im making assumptions here. He doesnt say that the cheque is made out to him, so im assuming its a blank cheque with the sum of 4.5k written on it. If that is the case, then it is the finders responsibility to make reasonable enquiries to establish who the owner is, and if the cheque was legitimatly made out to him. If you were just receive a cheque that is signed with an amount written on it, but with no reciever details on it and paid it into your account, in the eyes of the law, your taking ownership of that money. The ONLY way, in these circumstances, to show that you have no intent to steal the money would be to follow the actions i have said above. TBH i wouldnt want to put a cheque for that amount of money in my bank account if i didnt know who it came from. It may well be worth visiting the bank that the cheque came from (ie HSBC,NATWEST etc) and see if they would be able to see which branch the account is with. The likely hood is that they wont tell you due to data protection, but its worth a try
