Ok, we'll keep an eye on this thread for a couple of hours? and see if anyone's up for it. It'll give me the time to get the door built back up (window control unit needs re-soldered again). :hammer:

Going through hell
I'll agree - babies can be tough wee things, our first son came out blue, he was whisked away and the doctors and nurses wouldn't let us see him for a good half hour. He spent weeks in the special care baby unit, only to contract meningitis and had a 50/50 chance of pulling through. He's now a healthy 26 year old....... Here's hoping that you have a similar outcome. Andy

Zedworld Chipped ECU
I'd love to take the Zed down to Jeff to have it checked out, but I live 325 miles away from him and that would cost me in the region of £180 in fuel (there and back). I'm sure that in the long run (no pun intended), it would be of great benefit to me but in these times of financial hardship - it's just not feasible at this moment in time.

Zedworld Chipped ECU
Thanks Jeff

Zedworld Chipped ECU
The car runs well (at the moment), I've just cleaned out all the electrical connectors, fitted new spark plugs, cleaned out the secondary air system and replaced a couple of the brick-hard hoses.

Zedworld Chipped ECU
Hey all, Once paid this week, I'll be in the position (hopefully) to be able to buy a second (or third) hand Zedworld chipped ECU. I've a '93 UK TT with an Apexi induction kit and a Mongoose rear system. Other than fitting the ECU and boost jets - what else needs done to ensure that the whole setup runs ok? Does the timing need altered? Does the idle speed need raised or lowered? Answers on the back of a postcard.........or here......please  Andy

Weekend daytime would be fine, we could then actually see the cars ok :) On the other hand, night time would also be ok as my "paintwork" looks better in the dark.

Like this? If so, I flushed the cooling system out and refilled with a mixture of water & antifreeze - that did the trick

Is this the end of my Zed? (Contains big-ish pics)
Same as my Zed, on both points :( I don't know how it passed the MOT that it already had when I bought it :sneaky2: Also, my sill fell to bits after some serious "poking" :blushing: Inner sill.....what inner sill? All sorted now apart from some cosmetics and a paint job :)

Is this the end of my Zed? (Contains big-ish pics)
I went through this my Zed, what started as a few holes needing patched up - rapidly developed into me having to cut open both sills (front to rear) and remove a substantial amount of badly corroded inner sills and floor edge. Replaced mostly with panels that I fabricated from sheet steel (not pretty but served the purpose). Unfortunately, both rear wheelarches (outer and inner) also needed replaced, both inner and outer quarter panels needed a lot of work as well. There always seemed to be more rust, if it's confined to that one area - you're lucky. Have a close look, be critical, check behind the fuel filler neck. I did most of the work myself but had a garage to work in and another car to get about in - it was off the road for well over 18 months tho'. I hope that you get it sorted out - one way or the other. Andy
