  1. Yep, next Wednesday's good for me
  2. Whatever, I'm ok on both counts :)
  3. Or should I just drive 20 miles or so to some retail outlet car park and stand and talk to myself....................................again - lol Come on, there must be someone else in central Scotland with a working or at least driveable Zed, surely? :)
  4. For the past thirt-five years I've worked in dealership parts departments and we do get a bit blase' about the price of things. When I can quote £1000 for a Legacy cat, £360 for a Scooby A/F sensor, £1000 for most Merc ECUs /modules - anything under a £100 these days almost seems like a good deal :whistling: While some customers will happily (honest) pay upwards of £65 for three Scooby wiper blades, others will make a bee-line for the nearest scrappy if the price doesn't meet with their approval. Some of our parts prices are extortionate - some are surprisingly cheap........but we don't set the prices.......Mercedes, Subaru, Audi et al do :innocent:
  5. Ditto........... But it made me laugh :laugh::laugh:
  6. Give it a try then, again using the make and model number of your dvd player - find out what formats it supports.
  7. Too hot to sleep......lol It's not very often that it gets that hot in Scotland :sleep1:
  8. A "service use only" USB or one that you can maybe use?
  9. Do you have a home cinema or blue ray player with USB connection? If so, you could play through there.
  10. I have an LG 50PK590, just over a year old - plays various formats, rejects others - it's a bit fussy sometimes but that's probably my fault more than the LGs  The USB sockets for mine are on the Left hand edge, along with HDMI and AV connections.
  11. It depends on which formats your telly can play, if you google the make and model number - you should be able to find this out quite easy. My LG plays some formats but not all. Hope that this helps - Andy
  12. Yep, patently obvious it's a scam, ignore it and hope that you get a genuine enquiry soon.
  13. I went to all the trouble of sourcing and fitting a new headlight washer pump for the MOT...............and they never checked it either
  14. My Zed passed the MOT a couple of weeks a go with aftermarket HIDs fitted, no advisory and no problems at all  If they had been excessively blue........they would have failed.
  15. Oh so true..... My sons to my wife - " Where's Dad?" Wife - "In the garage with the car (Zed)" Sons - "What's he doin'?" Wife - "Probably bloody cuddling it!" (the Zed, before anyone says anything) :innocent:
  16. On Saturday at work, I had a "gentleman" wanting me to send Mercedes parts to Africa for his C class, when I mentioned that I wanted the money up front, he said that he'd call back Monday............no call yet.......funny that? :whistling:
  17. Lovely night for a drive tonight - lol
  18. Wednesday's looking good weatherwise, any takers for a mini-meet at Livingston KFC? :hyper: Or anywhere else, for that matter.......
  19. Sounds like a bearing noise to me, mind you I'm a bit deaf - so you may not want to pay attention to anything I say about noises heard or not heard
  20. Replace the exhaust hanger rubbers? Maybe the current rubbers have stretched and are allowing too much lateral movement.
  21. The Scottish Motor Show. I suppose tomorrow night's a wee bit short notice for a meet and if you're always clock watching........ We'll see if next week's got any takers then.
  22. I'd be ok for thursday night - the car's running well and I'm still breaking in the new coilovers :)
  23. Not a Skyline, a BMW, a Scooby, a Honda or one of the many nice club cars on display at Modified Live at Knockhill today...........just this one.:blink:
  24. No apology needed, circumstances beyond your control I'm sure  That's one hell of a long drive for something to go wrong, I hope that you both have better luck the next time. Andy
