  1. Hmmm, not too sure.......but £22 for postage
  2. I'm up for a wee meet somewhere.........anywhere? You and I can compare paintwork Andy
  3. Ouch! I can only reiterate what others have said - as long as you're ok, that's the main thing.
  4. Just to add, I did it the opposite way - bought the rear arch and lower quarter panel sections and then fabricated the sill panels (sheet steel bent over my auld knees) :wheelchair: :hammer:
  5. I really do like these wheels
  6. Yep, it looks to be in much the same state as my own Zed was in, as you strip more parts off the car - you will find more corrosion unfortunately  Have a good look behind your fuel filler neck, you wouldn't believe how bad it can get there. Also it may be worthwhile removing your back bumper and checking your lower quarter panels, honestly - I didn't have to look far for rust.............. But with a MIG welder, some pre-formed panels, some sheet steel and help from someone who has had similar experience - it is do-able:hammer: Well done for tackling the job
  7. Would you believe that I haven't taken any photos of it since it was in the bodyshop :blushing:
  8. The wheels are starting to feel their age (not like me at all :whistling:), corrosion has broken through onto the face of the most of them  and given that they're about seven or eight years old maybe - is it worth it to have them properly refurbished, as it would cost at least a couple of hundred pounds? Anyway - here's some piccies of the Zed when she was in the bodyshop.
  9. Nope, I wouldn't be happy at that  I do 20,000+ mls a year just commuting to work, £10 a day if I use my daily drive - £20 if I use the Zed  (which I don't very often do)
  10. Most of it  Big problem in trying to match the previous "custom" colour :detective: They sorted out and reshaped the rear arches, repaired small dents and scrapes in the wings and doors, Painted the rear bumper, rear quarters, rear panel, doors, wings and bonnet (they'd scraped the bonnet, so that was F.O.C). However that's made the remaining paint look poor, so she's going back in a week to complete the job. Looking at new wheels now, that's a minefield  Will you be in on Sunday or are you away chasin' sheep again?
  11. I guess that your Zed's come out of hibernation then? When ever suits, I should be ok
  12. I'm looking to buy new wheels for my '93 UK TT whilst re-using my current Goodyear F1 Eagles, 245/40ZR18 on the front and 275/35ZR18 on the rear. My current wheels are Devil 147's - 8" front and 9" rear, both ET35. Most of the deep dish wheels that I'm looking at are 8.5" and 9.5".....will my current Goodyear tyres fit these slightly wider wheels? Is there an online resource that gives you said information? Thanks - Andy
  13. Well done Dad - the 1st of many I'm sure
  14. I like carting ............but my back doesn't  On a side note, my Zed will be out of the bodyshop soon - all being well with the paint match
  15. Belated happy birthday Robert! :balloon::balloon::balloon:
  16. I thought that we were.... :wheelchair: :D
  17. I'd be ok for this

It's away at the bodyshop, they're trying to match the paint colour in advance of having both sides resprayed (hopefully a similar colour to the rest of the car).
  19. Well done that man  I put in and spent £40 worth of Shell's best today, a 140 mile round trip to Loch Lomond and back - money well spent :D

It was just a wee run, Loch Lomond and back..... A nice run, just a shame we couldn't improve on the numbers - ah well, there's always next time.
