  1. OK, but when does the squeal occour - how are you driving the car when it squeals?
  2. Your post reads that you think it is brake squeal, but then you mention the ac compressor? Damp is one condition, but when and what driving conditions does the squeal occour?
  3. Here is the Tarox catalog for Nissan which does have both R33 and 350Z discs listed: nissan.pdf (scroll down) The critical measurement is "D" (overall height) - Tarox use this rather than offset, but they are the same in principle. GT-R 2.6 Twin Turbo 24v (R33) 1/95-1/99 F V 2103 324.0 30.0 28.0 59.0 68.0 5 ______________350 Z 3.5 V6 24v 02-09 F V 2104 324.0 30.0 28.0 49.0 68.0 5 So they are indeed different disc profiles. You would need to move the caliper centre line to be able to use the 350Z disc.
  4. OK, here is the Brembo specs for the 350Z: http://bremboaftermarket.com/En/Car_Disc_Catalogue/Catalogue_Detail.aspx?ApplicationIDMaster=282837 and the diagram: http://bremboaftermarket.com/En/Car_Disc_Catalogue/Catalogue_Detail_Image.aspx?Code=7f2049cb-0657-4a22-8f1c-5dbec326e708 You can see that the offset is 11.4mm. For some reason the Brembo catalog doesn't have the specs for the R33/R34 discs.
  5. Brake disk OFFSET dimension:
  6. R33 brembo disks are 30mm thick. You need to check that the offset from the disk surface from the hub mounting is the same for the R33 and 350Z.
  7. Got it, I couldn't tell from your first photos. Which model of JL subwoofers are you using?
  8. For someone who hasn't welded for a while, that looks a pretty neat job. Well done!
  9. Not at all, please join in! Waiting on timings from SW/SC groups to meet up with them somewhere along the way up M40. See you at Chobham.
  10. Are your mid range speakers sharing the same enclosure space as the subwoofers, or are they acoustically separated?
  11. I can see the reason for 4wd with permanent drive. What is the issue with lsd on rollers (each wheel tested as a pair)?
  12. Just waiting to hear from you on a M40 rendezvous point for us SE guys.
  13. To rule out pressure in the system holding the pads on you could try opening the caliper bleed valves. Are the pads new? There should be some movement between them and the caliper body, is there? Make sure they are not binding. Can you jiggle them about? This is the FSM for the front caliper and shows assembly order (pads, shims etc): http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/br/012.gif
  14. Before replacing the caliper piston seals did you thoroughly clean the grooves the seals fit in? Also, did you soak the seals in brake fluid before refitting them and the pistons?
  15. Nobody is DOUBTING you!
  16. Is the part for a UK mirror the same? If so I have one, would save dismantling a complete unit. Has the same N18 stamp.
  17. Terry, you did see this? Blue UK glass -> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-300ZX-Z32-UK-PASSENGER-DOOR-WINDOW-GLASS-/190909734569?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2c731b5ea9
  18. I would think his neighbour does too!

  20. According to the FSM they are separate circuits, with a variable resistor and switch (located in the sender unit in the tank) controlling the gauge and lamp respectively. http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/el/066.gif http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/el/070.gif
