It was a dealer fitted option on UK supplied cars.

HID question - balast on its way out?
Have you got something that documents that?

HID question - balast on its way out?
I have an early (unshielded/unprotected) Selin. The HIDs I installed came with Phillips (made in Germany) ballasts. I've not experienced any problems so far with the Selin I have and the ballasts. It was a rare event in any case which affected a small number of Selin users. Later Selins have been "hardened" to both power line and radiated interference.

What did you do to your zed today?
Got it, wasn't sure if the voltage averaging role of the Selin hadn't been coded/built into the latest NIStune and stock ECU when using dual MAFs.

What did you do to your zed today?
How is the work of a Selin translator handled/replaced for a dual "slot-style MAF"?

HID question - balast on its way out?
Allthough this was a problem that affected early Selin translators, bear this in mind when buying HID ballasts: "All of the Chinese sourced ballasts I was able to test sent voltage spikes into the cars electrical system as high as 300 volts (!!!) This is also repeatedly hitting every other computer in your system." - Jim Selin http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2579166/Hey-Greg-sorry-I-hadnt-replied-to-your-email-yet.html

300ZX 25th Anniversary Flyer
For the 25th Anniversary meet at Coventry, I produced a synopsis of the 300ZX development, production, sales and competition history. This information was displayed as four large format panels near the museum entrance for Club members and visitors to read. Since then I've used the same content as a small flyer to give to people who have expressed an interest in the 300ZX and the Club, most recently at the Beaulieu meet. I keep copies in the glove box to hand out as needed. The 4 sided flyer is printed A5 sized. A .pdf copy is available for download below. I hope you find it informative and useful. 300ZX 25th Anniversary Flyer.pdf

wiring from the clock spring
Although the individual colours aren't shown, these two diagrams give the information you are after. Two wires are for the horn and two for the airbag. You can trace the horn wires and ignore the others. EL-170.pdf RS-22.pdf

Boost question
Stock UK/Euro spec cat exhaust sections are like these with the "45 degree" joint: so you will need to use them and the downpipes from the UK TT engine. The stock passenger side downpipe has the precat, which you can remove by rodding it out.

Handful of pictures from Beaulieu
Just a handful of pictures from Beaulieu. We drove down in brilliant sunshine and arrived at Beaulieu in the pouring rain. Helpfully it quickly cleared up and went on to become another blistering hot day. Thanks to Simon for organising the meet and to everyone who attended and made it such a great day at a lovely location. Was suprised and delighted to make the shortlist for the "People's Choice Award", and even more so when another Z32 from the Club was also chosen! Good job you passed that MOT Hellraiser! In the end the award went to a purple R33 GTR... In the afternoon I managed to park up next to Simon's car (in this month's shade of white) and took these photos... Richard's car, one of the UK "Blues Brothers" Vig's car in the SE Monza body kit. Only saw him briefly on the way to the meet as he decided to form his own convoy... and lastly Oscar, Joel's golden retreiver who came all the way to Beaulieu for the day to support the Club!
