  1. Lovely videos of Steve Millen driving his No.75 300ZX at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion in California, July 19, 2014. From 1990 to 1995, Millen drove the Twin Turbo 300ZX . The car dominated the IMSA in its GTO, then later GTS categories due to its newly designed chassis and engine. Millen would rank as the #1 factory driver for Nissan for 7 years earning two GTS Driving and two GTS Manufacturer's Championships. The biggest win for the race Z32 was the victory in the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1994. In the same year at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 300ZX ranked 1st in the GTS-1 class and 5th overall. 2. Have you asked your engine (re)builder?
  3. It spins on RPM and temperature. For example, you could have low RPM and high engine temps and the viscous coupling will be fully engaged (think stop-start traffic). On the other hand you can have high RPM and lower engine temps and the viscous coupling is disengaged (think motorway speeds).
  4. Best wishes on your Birthday!
  5. Absolutely fantastic!!! Found out yesterday that the Lancasters are using Biggin Hill as a base for their southern display tour. Saw one of them going into land today when I was out driving. Biggin is about 6 miles from me, so I will go over tomorrow and see if I can get a look as they go off for their Saturday displays. Better still on Sunday they will be doing a flypast over Kenley airfield at about 12:40pm on their way to Eastbourne. Kenley airfield is about 1/4 mile from me. RAF Kenley was a front line BoB fighter station and is still remarkably intact. Can't wait! This is Kenley airfield taken as we flew up to the RAF Museum at Cosford from Bigging Hill in 2011.
  6. Aside from the pistons you already have forged inners from the factory.
  7. Vera and Thumper flying together yesterday above RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire. Turn up the volume! [video=youtube_share;efer_GCo-Ag] and from a different viewpoint: [video=youtube_share;60jRgKbuKi8]
  8. Large pump "7" for headlight washers, two small pumps "21 & 11" for front and rear windscreens.
  9. Are you wanting to use your Z32 as a daily driver or weekend warrior?
  10. What throttle bodies are you using? Came across this photo the other day, have you seen it before?
  11. Are there any photos from the event that has just taken place?
  12. Another UK spec "Blues Brothers" back on the road!
  13. So what did it take to get her running?
  14. Look to be Stillen: http://www.stillen.com/product/side-skirts/stillen-type-iii-side-skirt-driver-side-1030012-815.html and here: http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=345&Car_Type=300&UID=2014081114503286.146.192.59
  15. What he says or a bradawl.
  16. The restrictors are here: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?124920-Exhaust-restricters-and-free-performance I'm not aware they were fitted to UK spec cars though.
  17. Well changing out the stock exhaust on imports will remove the restrictor rings the factory put in.
  18. Grab yourself a coffee and have a read of this: http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/england/work_e/work_rights_at_work_e/contracts_of_employment.htm
  19. Get the UK TT MOT'd, drive it to JAE and display it as a "barn find" and enjoy the event!
  20. I hope you mount that thing and stick it on your garage wall!
  21. The difference is that in the UK spec headlights they (the mounting bases) were designed to take H3 bulbs and place the filament in the correct position for the optics. So in my case the HID is probably in as good a place as it gets. In Jap spec headlights the mounting bases were designed for H3C and you have used H3 HIDs so the focal point will be way off in your case.
  22. Thanks, I know that when I installed my H3 HID kit I compared the two side by side. The halogen filament was bang in the middle of the HID discharge bubble (like this photo I pulled from the web). I could try moving the HID bulb back in the holder to see what difference it makes, if any to the pattern. I still think the best solution for me is to retrofit a complete OEM HID projector assembly.
  23. I thought you were referring to the Canadian Lancaster, when you said "Lancaster bomber"! Anyway CGVRA has landed safely at RAF Coningsby.
  24. The british weather! http://www.lincolnshireecho.co.uk/Dual-flypast-Canadian-Lancaster-BBMF-aircraft/story-22220652-detail/story.html
