  1. For the 25th Anniversary meet at Coventry, I produced a synopsis of the 300ZX development, production, sales and competition history. This information was displayed as four large format panels near the museum entrance for Club members and visitors to read. Since then I've used the same content as a small flyer to give to people who have expressed an interest in the 300ZX and the Club, most recently at the Beaulieu meet. I keep copies in the glove box to hand out as needed. The 4 sided flyer is printed A5 sized. A .pdf copy is available for download below. I hope you find it informative and useful. 300ZX 25th Anniversary Flyer.pdf
  2. Great way to get your nuts red hot!
  3. Watch out! The last person to try that came unstuck...
  4. That guy on TT.net didn't take the engine out, but did this: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2579177/No-alignment-necessary.html
  5. You're not the first to have done this: http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=2579128
  6. Would be as visitors as participants are pre 1989.
  7. I couldn't say, but he is a very quiet and unassuming type. I'll let him introduce himself...
  8. Blimey that's a shiny one! and who could that be in the passenger seat I wonder?
  9. Although the individual colours aren't shown, these two diagrams give the information you are after. Two wires are for the horn and two for the airbag. You can trace the horn wires and ignore the others. EL-170.pdf RS-22.pdf
  10. Best wishes on your Birthday!
  11. Stock UK/Euro spec cat exhaust sections are like these with the "45 degree" joint: so you will need to use them and the downpipes from the UK TT engine. The stock passenger side downpipe has the precat, which you can remove by rodding it out.
  12. Just a handful of pictures from Beaulieu. We drove down in brilliant sunshine and arrived at Beaulieu in the pouring rain. Helpfully it quickly cleared up and went on to become another blistering hot day. Thanks to Simon for organising the meet and to everyone who attended and made it such a great day at a lovely location. Was suprised and delighted to make the shortlist for the "People's Choice Award", and even more so when another Z32 from the Club was also chosen! Good job you passed that MOT Hellraiser! In the end the award went to a purple R33 GTR... In the afternoon I managed to park up next to Simon's car (in this month's shade of white) and took these photos... Richard's car, one of the UK "Blues Brothers" Vig's car in the SE Monza body kit. Only saw him briefly on the way to the meet as he decided to form his own convoy... and lastly Oscar, Joel's golden retreiver who came all the way to Beaulieu for the day to support the Club!
  13. Best wishes old boy!
  14. According to the 300ZX "Enthusiast's companion" book the turbos are hybrid Garrett T2 exhaust turbine and T25 compressor.
  15. Do come and join our convoy! 7am for 7:15am departure, Cobham services.
  16. Find yourself a good independent Mercedes garage. Had W211 E-Class estates for 7 years now and ONLY use my local indi for genuine MB parts at fair prices, sensible labour rates and trust worthy diagnostics/repair recommendations.
  17. Does the car start normally or is it difficult to start when cold/hot? Re your fuel pump - it should not run continuously with the ignition switch turned to on (should just operate for ~1 second when engine not turning). So there is a problem with the fuel pump control system. http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/efec/026.gif http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/efec/150.gif http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/efec/151.gif
  18. Nothing like a broadsheet to catch all the bits dropping onto your lap!
  19. £21 at the gate (http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/plan-your-visit/prices-and-opening-times) or £11 if you park near Tescos and come in with someone from there (http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/beaulieu-events/club-rally/simply-japanese).
