  1. Tom, that is excellent news! Great to read that you are going get her repaired and back on the road rather than giving up. Well done!
  2. I'm after a UK spec front bumper (has holes for headlight washers and UK number plate fixings). If you have one for sale or know the whereabouts of one please let me know. Must be in good condition with no structural damage. Many thanks.
  3. As above check for fluid leaks/seal failures in master and slave cylinders and flexible hose. Could also be pivot ball or fork failure.
  4. Chobham services at 7am it is then. Departing for Cherwell Valley services at 7:30am (~60min run). See you then.
  5. My system is slowly morphing into a JL setup. The JL 10w1v3 looks interesting and would fit the existing enclosure.
  6. I had my UK spec blue glass (made by Pilkington) replaced by Autoglass. Just paid an excess of £100.
  7. From the FSM, low and high beam aiming adjustment: http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/el/054.gif http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/el/055.gif
  8. Are you making the journey a) with your existing MOT still valid (you got it tested before the expiry date) or b) no MOT and driving to a booked MOT/repair place. In which case has to be done in one journey.
  9. The Technafit lines I sold recently measured 59.5cm for the fronts and 21cm for the rears (total lengths including the fittings).
  10. Very nice she looks too, look forward to seeing your car at Coventry.
  11. Have you had a look at the FSM (manual or auto system)? Is the hot air coming from all the vents? Could be the air mix door motor(s).
  12. What is? BTW - nbd1559 comes up as for the 350Z (google search).
  13. [video=youtube_share;1N5THRSp4hM]
  14. OK, but when does the squeal occour - how are you driving the car when it squeals?
  15. Your post reads that you think it is brake squeal, but then you mention the ac compressor? Damp is one condition, but when and what driving conditions does the squeal occour?
  16. Here is the Tarox catalog for Nissan which does have both R33 and 350Z discs listed: nissan.pdf (scroll down) The critical measurement is "D" (overall height) - Tarox use this rather than offset, but they are the same in principle. GT-R 2.6 Twin Turbo 24v (R33) 1/95-1/99 F V 2103 324.0 30.0 28.0 59.0 68.0 5 ______________350 Z 3.5 V6 24v 02-09 F V 2104 324.0 30.0 28.0 49.0 68.0 5 So they are indeed different disc profiles. You would need to move the caliper centre line to be able to use the 350Z disc.
  17. OK, here is the Brembo specs for the 350Z: http://bremboaftermarket.com/En/Car_Disc_Catalogue/Catalogue_Detail.aspx?ApplicationIDMaster=282837 and the diagram: http://bremboaftermarket.com/En/Car_Disc_Catalogue/Catalogue_Detail_Image.aspx?Code=7f2049cb-0657-4a22-8f1c-5dbec326e708 You can see that the offset is 11.4mm. For some reason the Brembo catalog doesn't have the specs for the R33/R34 discs.
  18. Brake disk OFFSET dimension:
  19. R33 brembo disks are 30mm thick. You need to check that the offset from the disk surface from the hub mounting is the same for the R33 and 350Z.
  20. Got it, I couldn't tell from your first photos. Which model of JL subwoofers are you using?
  21. For someone who hasn't welded for a while, that looks a pretty neat job. Well done!
  22. Not at all, please join in! Waiting on timings from SW/SC groups to meet up with them somewhere along the way up M40. See you at Chobham.
