  1. Using correctly fitted/sized hub centric rings means that the weight of the car is loaded onto axle hub and the center bore of the wheel. Otherwise the weight will be borne only by the studs (as a shear force) which they are not designed to do. Symptoms would include wheel vibration and in the extreme stud failure.
  2. UK spec washer bottle is larger for extra motor. I changed mine out for the smaller jpsec type and used an separately mounted motor for the headlight washers. The photo may help with your problem, let me know as I will be doing the same pipework later.
  3. May we know what sort of budget you are working with?

  6. Tom, when was the oil last changed and what is in it now? Is the clutch properly adjusted and system bleed?

  8. What gave you that idea! I don't have that carbuncle of the plastic mount - so you saying that mine doesn't look right??? To me, the added benefit of keeping it higher is reduced turbulance (and water) to the air filters and MAFs as the filters sit directly behind the number plate.
  9. My preference would be this:
  10. As far as I'm aware they are interchangeable. The small pin (arrowed) needs to be swapped over for each bearing otherwise the castings are the same (TT and NA bearings are different size).
  11. The under trays (2 of them) are there to help cool the engine (and ancillaries) by forcing air through the engine compartment.
  12. Correct it is the Mk2 version. It is hardened against interference (EMI) and has MAF monitoring leds which tell you each MAF is operating correctly.
  13. Where do your bonnet stay clips go?
  14. That could so easily go so wrong...
  15. Does the car have an alarm/immobiliser?
  16. If you don't fancy splitting the lenses you can follow either method described here: http://www.z32.com/clears.htm "Method B" is the approach I took to do mine (minimizes the risk of scratching the inside of the clear lense.
  17. Uploaded to dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ajx3jy5v7opii2f/300ZX%20JDM%201999%20brochure.zip?dl=0
  18. I'll PM you my email address and you can send it to me. I'll then upload it to dropbox for everyone to be able to access.
  19. Along the same vein, why not come along to the Simply Japanese show at Beaulieu. It is a smaller show than JAE/NEC but is more local to you. Last year two Z32's got through to the final 12 in the "car of the show" competition on votes by the visiting public. http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/beaulieu-events/club-rally/simply-japanese
  20. This should help you: el-10&11.pdf
  21. Welcome to the party Nick!
  22. I wish him well in his new role and will reserve judgement until I get to see the revamped show.
  23. Under all that fiberglass and zany paintwork is a UK spec car just waiting to be reborn.
