  1. Thanks, it's ok now, haha, was about something he's got for sale, but just changed my mind, need to prioritise my monies! But thanks very much for the offer of help...
  2. Hi, dunno if this is the right place for it, but just wondering if someone could pass this message on to Rev1Ritchie as I'm after his email address..... Thanks...
  3. have you tried unpluggin the coilpacks one at a time and seeing if any of them don't make a difference? you should hear the engine note change as you unplug each one.... maybe it's running on 5 cylinders, might be worth cleaning all the connectors up too matey.... also check the connector on the temp sensor (on the top of the two sloid water pipes at the front of the engine) also check mf connections (under the nose panel) HTH... let us know how you get on...
  4. Timing? (the oil pressure is high when cold, and the stock gauge is inaccurate too) Have you had any work done to it recently?
  5. Haha, did you know that there is one in the Keenan and Kel movie? (yes i have watche it, sad i know, was years ago tho....) :)
  6. Just watching Timecop, and they had the 'New 1994 Model' Z in the mall, haha, i'm sure you all knew that tho :)
  7. I got bitten, badly, really badly, like, properly badly, 2 and a half years and she's almost ready for the MOT, BUT, I've loved every minute of making her my own and bringing her back to life, also tho, the odometer was superglued solid, which isn't good, but she's had a full re-build now so happy days.... But, I'd probably, if doing it again, would buy one that has been cherished, if I had the money, i would definately buy silver streak and knock a wall down in my house so i could have it next to my bed when i slept, oof..... You don't always have to floor it mate, you'll get used to it...
  8. just read your first post properly, maybe pedal adjustment if the other things i said don't apply, the slave cylinder or master isn't leaking is it? or any pipe work?....
  9. or maybe the crank oil seal leaking too.... have you removed the starter and tried to have a look inside the bell housing, to see if there is any oil on the clutch? not much access, but you might see something.... HTH
  10. Hmmmmm, so the clutch is slipping badly? If that is the case, could be the oil seal on the end of the gearbox leaking? Allowing gearbox oil on to the clutch.... Just a thought, i've got a punto at the mo with similar problems, exept it's the main bearing that has failed, so new box....
  11. It's still in, but the connector from my LHD new loom wont reach the solenoid, so balls to it, i'll just leave it off, but next time the engine is out (which i hope wont be anytime soon) i'll scrap the lot.... cheers...
  12. only mines ECU and boost jets, and air filter mate...
  13. cheers..... it's exhaust gas recycle, to do with the emmisions and all that tree hugging borrocks...
  14. I have asked a similar question before, but didn't get a definative answer, as i think i made it far too unspecific.... Shortened version.... If I leave the EGR solenoid unplugged, but the EGR system is still installed, will it effect the running of the car? Cheers... Tude.
  15. I bought a wiring loom from the states, and got a letter saying it was here, but i owed 80 quid duty, not good!
  16. So ideally Mobil 1 10w-50 is the one to use? I've still got running in oil in mine, but she's due for a good transfusion....
  17. Yeah quavey, i think they are about 50 odd quid, without the brake light, but about 115 quid with the brake light! I know which one i'll be buying :)
  18. My boot lock doesn't work either, might just need oiling.... If yours isn't opening, maybe you can just adjust the mechanism... Oh, as well, my boot was really lazy to open, and struggled to stay up, but you would be suprised just how much that spoiler weighs! with mine removed, i open the boot and it nearly took my hand off! it flew up, spot on, i really didn't think the spoiler weighed that much, i'd say about 8-10 kilos! (it's metal surrounded by that crappy sponge stuff, and mine was completely water logged too) HTH....
  19. Try this out matey http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=technical&msg_id=793373 I did mine a couple of days ago, there's 2 8 mm bolts one either corner of the boot, one of mine was very rusted, so had to chip it away a bit, then knock it through, and there is maybe 2 or 4 10 mm bolts, i can't remember. also, what i did, if you get a torch and shine it in the holes of the inner skin, you'll find 4 plastic clips, i used a sharp wood chisel, and one nice tap and it sheared the clips, but there's a clip at the very furthest point at each end which you just have to man habdle, or use the 'cheese wire' method like in that link. After i had removed all those bits, i just had to use brute force, i was scared of twiting the boot too much at first, but evenually just went for it and she came off.... And, mine is a 92, and the boot was mint underneath, apart from a fraction of very very slight surface rust in about a 2 inch square section, nothing a quick rub down wont cure.... hope yours is the same matey!
  20. Happy Birthday! :) :) :)
  21. Great news matey, my uncle has crohns, i know the crack.... I'm a pro muso too, if you ever need a fellow zedder on keys or drums matey ;) Keep up the good work and best of luck with the band dude, rock on, give it some beans....
  22. Happy birthday dude! :) :) :) :duffer:
  23. forgive me if i sound like i'm being patronising, but did you change the oil in the clutch system, as well as the gearbox oil? The clutch system oil is not related to the gearbox oil.... again, sorry if you knew that, but it's easy to make these mistakes!
