  1. yeah, what would you bond it with? :) just a thought, and i am not really brave enough or rich enough to attempt it, but it looks like you can seperate the 'light assembly' from the outer skin, maybe could mod it by making the black perspex clear, a bit like the rear centre panel mod, seeing as the red diffuser is there and the holes for the bulbs/holders? just a thought......
  2. to be honest, i ain't bothered! was just curious really! still will look the dogs with my brand spanking smoothed and sprayed boot :) :) :)
  3. hmmmm, can't seem to get any light to shine through at all with a torch, will update date ya's when i know more....
  4. now i have a perspex strip with a pretend braked light on it, sorry to go on, just didn't expect it! :)
  5. don't get me wrong, i'm more than happy with it, but why include the red diffuser and bulb holders if you can't use them....
  6. hundred quid more at my nissan dealer! 52 quid inc. vat without, 158 quid inc. vat with it! skanks, considering the only difference is that the one with the brake light isn't painted black where the light shines through...
  7. nah mate, daft money! weird how it looks the same without your foot on the brake? just sure i have seen plenty that were just a perspex strip without the shape of the brake light in it? thats what i was expecting, no bother really, just seems a bit cheeky of them to include the bulb holder moulding, and the red diffuser, but you can't see it if you put bulbs in???
  8. I just got mine now, ordered the one without the brake light, but this one has the bulb holders, and the connector (tho no connections) and the red diffuser, and the shape/outline of the brake light on the facia, is this normal? i thought they were flush and smooth without the brake light? or have they messed up and given me the more exspensive one? :) i can't see any light through the brake light section tho....
  9. i thought as much, hahaha
  10. is magnatec any good???
  11. might be flooded mate....
  12. clean the connectors up on the PTU itself, and both plugs that go into it.... you may find it has green gunk on it, years of corrosion, i used a nail file (emery board tye thingy) but a small file or some folded sandpaper will do it....
  13. I'm still stock, but by all accounts, the best way is just to upgrade the front speakers with a quiality component set, fit a tasty sub, and don't bother about the rear speakers, do a search bud, many thredads on it... hth
  14. Thanks matey....
  15. Does anybody know where i can get a red EL panel for the diy conversion of my rear centre panel? I have tried ebay, but can't find any big enough, could use 2, but would rather not... Cheers.
  16. about 2 weeks ago, sunday at about 12 O'clock ish, leigh road, westhoughton, driving past the Rosehill tavern...?

  19. yep, i didn't do mine when i did the manual conversion, and now gettin a drip a day, which will probably balls up the brand new clutch that i put on....
  20. If you see a bright yellow zed matey, in bolton, horwich or westhoughton, chances are it'll be me! (well, as soon as she's back on the road, not long now!) I remember the engine was as sweet as nut when i viewed it...
  21. Wow mate, bad times! Like you said, good job you weren't under it! I had a close call once, nearly soiled my undies! I think the sump can be removed with the engine in, might have to remove the crossmember tho, fingers crossed no damage has been done to the internals matey....
  22. haha, probably very true mate...
  23. My point exactly, haha, ya could get a duvet on that, go camping n kip on it, what goes through these peoples minds, it's been sprayed, and they step back and go 'wow, that looks awesome', bizzare...
