  1. Where any Z32s sold new without the spoiler?
  2. Well the spoiler is off, bit of a ball ache, but i'm quite suprised the boot is in mint condition underneath! I do like those spoilers, but i'm on a budget, and don't fancy going down the smoothing it in route, and i really like the look with no spoiler now i've got it off :) I'm doing it all my self, so just gonna fill the holes, spray it, and fit a perspex strip, and I kinda have plans (LEDs) for the high level brake light too.... I know i don't really need one, but anything i can do to stop some bird who's putting her make up on in the mirror running up the arse of my pride and joy, i'll do :) Cheers guys...
  3. I'm gonna take my spoiler off today (OEM) and was wondering if anyone has ever smoothed it, and not fitted the perspex strip? I was thinking of making a led cluster for the brake light, what do you guys think it would look like? Just a thought....
  4. i'd say it was more of a 4 and a half minute job ;)
  5. I've done a full rebuild, and mine is worse than that :) I wouldn't worry matey, looks ok to me, just some condomsation...
  6. there's been a version r on flea bay with those exact same seats
  7. failing that, find a druggy and give him a tenner, they'll be off in seconds :)
  8. i fitted a new loom with the engine in, didn't make much difference really. you can just chop the old one up, which makes life easier. I only did it recently, so if you get one, get back on this thread and i'll give you some tips. Seriousley well worth doing matey....
  9. it's 15 when in neutral, but when you put it in drive, it advances to 25....
  10. thanks matey, finally got her right, almost MOT time, yay... when you do a manual conversion, which i did, you either need to short out a pin on the ECU for the neutral switch, or adjust the timing. if the engine knows it's in neutral, it retards the timing by 10 degrees, to 15, then when you put it in drive, the neutral switch dissengages and the timing advances to 25 degrees. i didn't know that when i did my conversion, so have been fannying about for weeks, months even, trying to sort out my lack of torque and power, pops and bangs and missfires, 10 minutes to adjust the timing and she runs like smearing honey all over cheryl cole, nice :)
  11. i think i be round to his car with a stanley knife and repay the favour... but that's just me...
  12. bad times matey, wish I could help, if i was nearer i'd fetch my own wheels round so you can move it.... best of luck pal...
  13. mine is the same, think i'll just put a bit of super glue on the thread and screw it on really fast!
  14. I'd check your timing with a strobe, i had EXACTLY that problem, timing was 10 degrees out, have you done a manual conversion by any chance?
  15. try a new spark plug mate first if y can, i've had an almost brand new one give me the same symptoms.....
  16. I would've thought just change the back boxes? If you can find some you like, don't see why you would have to change the whole system, as long as you can change the back boxes, i.e. it's not a one piecer... that's just my two penneth :)
  17. Not sure about that mate, but from what i've heard, you should only use the NGKs....
  18. http://www.leadleader.com/cars/wagz/plugs.jpg
  19. Apperently the NGKs we use were created for the VG30 engine, other plugs have different reaches, i.e. they sit too far into the cylinder or not far enough, but someone else will be here add to that.....
  20. i think those plugs will only go in certain connectors, as they are different, IIRC...
  21. The one with the rubber grommet goes to what i think is the oil pressure sender, it's on the side of the (ish) on the passenger side, the other 2 'I think' they are for the auto box, have you done a manual conversion? if not, they either go at the front corner of the wing, but could be on either side... HTH
  22. very chuffed, although there's still the MOT yet, but christ knows i've been under her enough times to know that 'I think' (famous last words) that she only needs a couple of brake pipes and a rear fog light fitting, but we'll see... Might as well underseal her too, but that's ok with me! Happy days....
  23. thanks pal, i'm still buzzing at how well she runs/drives! that was my first drive on full boost and running properly, very impressive indeed, more than i expected!
