Radiator....
There's a 97' manual NA radiator on ebay at the mo, I'm guessing it's off a Jap given the year, just wondering if it will go on my 92' Jap manual converted TT?......

Still not right...
Timing was at 15, changed it to 25, and oh my god, she is flying, infact, quite scary! She's never run so well... It's like being kicked in the chest when ya touch the throttle... It's taken 2 and a half years of blood sweat an tears, and she's finally right, couple of niggly jobs for the MOT, then happy days, thanks to everyone for your help, although I'm sure I'll be on here with another problem soon :)

Gto wheels on a Zedd TT
Try them first?

Still not right...
I set it to 15 degrees, hehe, what you are saying makes perfects sense, 10 degrees out is a fair bit, i can't wait to get my strobe out tomorrow! i only hope it cures the problem, or at least improves the symptoms, if not cured, then lambda tests... once again, thanks for the tips, i'll keep ya posted....

thankyou, i have done that, but will check it again, which pin on the loom do i have to short out for the neutral switch? is it worth doing? i pressume if i do that, then the timing will need to be set to a different degree? it's really annoying me now, been doing her up for 2 and a half years, and i love it to bits, but so close, just niggly problems! summet and nowt spring to mind!

Limted 2500rpm after Flat battery?
Hahaha, best of luck matey! :taz:

Thanks mate! Yeah, it stalls if i disconnect the MAF... I used the wire from the PTU to connect to the strobe... I have done a manual conversion, but i remember reading somewhere that you have do something to the ECU, to do with neutral? I think that effects the timing or something? Anyways, whatever it is, i haven't done it... I have another set of coilpacks, so i'll try swapping them, but it seems to be random cylinders that pack up after revving it, but switch her off for a minute, then she's spot on, that's what's making me think plugs, fouling, probably because of over fuelling, but i don't know why.... and yeah mate, i'd give my right arm for conzult right now! :)

Still not right...
i cured it with the CAS, is that what you mean? forgive me for participating in friday night shannigans................... :duffer: :duffer: :duffer: :duffer:

Still not right...
ignore that last message, i have been drinking... yeah, i've checked the timing, and it was slightly out, and i cured it.... time for bed, and maybe a beer.... hehehehehe......

the battery has been off for about 2 months aswell............

Still not right...
I've had a strobe on it and checked her, yeah mate, was a few degrees out, but sorted it, but as of the electronic timing, i don't know! i just wish i had conzult, i think my life would be a lot easier!....................

Still not right...
Anybody with any other thoughts? Or anything else I can check?
-
Still not right...
thanks mate, will try that, and will do the standard ecu diagnostic on them too....
-
Still not right...
also, i have 1 mm boost jets, and standard spark plugs with the standard 1mm gap, could that be an issue? should close the gap a bit? could they be fouling? sorry to go on about it, but everytime i think of something, i have to post it! :)

Also, i have left over on the new loom, 2 greyish white 2 pin square connectors, one on either side, which i presume are for for the AIVs which are not in use, and one same connector but black, which i think is the EGR solenoid, however i can't seem to find it, so it's remained unplugged, could these plugs not being connected cause problems? or perhaps i have idetified them wrong and one or more of them is for something important.... i have one solenoid on either side of the car on the inner wheel arch/wing, but all 3 connectors wont reach....

Also seems to be over fuelling, exhaust smells very rich, and i get lots of 'pops' from the exhaust, as if she's dumping fuel into the manifold/cats....

Still not right...
Reet, here goes, she's had a new loom, used but working PTU, mostly every pipe changed, new IC,intake pipes, new plugs, any many more things, i think the only things not changed are the CAS and TPS.... The problem is, she runs beautifully, revs as sweet as a nut, ticks over a little fast tho, sometimes, but if i rev her, a good foot down rev (whilst stationary), then sometimes it seems to return to tickover, but sounds like she's running on 5 cylinders, also when driving, there is no low end torque, but when you slowly get to about 3500 revs she shoots off like a rocket, although maybe not as fast as she should be, ecu diagnostic comes back 55 99% of the time, but very rarely get a 34, dett sensor, which has been replaced, all be it re-located... I intend to balance the throttle bodies as they have been off a few times lately, but they are nice and clean as that was one of the first things i did... Any ideas as to what could be causing her to be like that? Maybe a knackered TPS? Cheers guys...

Will a UK manual TT radiator go in my jap manual converted TT?

Boost/oil temp gauges
and water temp too...

Boost/oil temp gauges
I just searched on those 'elegant' gauges, seem like a bargain, probably a stupid question, but i'm guessing the oil temp/pressure gauges don't come with senders? what's the damage for an oil temp and an oil pressure sender? (just a ball park figure).... cheers...

my car is a slow starter
Can you smell fuel under the bonnet? I had that problem, turned out to be a leak on one of the fuel pipes on top of the plenum, easy fix, as the fuel pump was priming the system, it was leaking out and losing pressure, just a thought matey...
