  2. hello again had another look at my z today, the uk cars seem to have 3 plugs, jap cars 2 plugs, these are the 3plugs what come along side the fuse box and plug into engine harness, theres another single one what goes to aircon, the online manual says 3 plugs are for the e f i, have no spark or fuel, but why would the jap and uk be so differant, really hope i aint gonna have to change all the looms, any help would be really appreciated, thanks,
  3. i will have a look later today, only reason i ask is because the car would not start, no fuel pump kicking in, have not had a chance to look at the car yet, the whole job was a nightmare had to paint it and rebuild it in 5 nights, so since it didnt start have lost heart in it. was looking good but cause we rushed it chipped the new paint in the engine bay in a few places, but compared to my old shell what a mess the engine bay is, once the engine come out, you dont notice all the dirt when the engine is in, bloody zeds, i hate them,lol, thanks every1,
  4. hello every1, just done a shell change from a uk auto tt [converted to manual] into a jap spec manual [no rust] [jap car had no cruise control] 1 of the problems i have is i used all the jap spec looms apart from the engine loom which is from the uk car, next to the fuse box in the engine bay, their is only 2 plugs, but on the engine loom their is 3, would any1 no what the extra plug is for, as any1 else done a complete shell change, will my uk clocks and other parts all just work or have i run myself into a lot of little problems,lol, any help will be really appreciated, thank you,

  6. just had a jap spec shell painted to put all my parts onto, all as been going great until i got to the seat belts, mine is a uk and seat belts aint in the doors, had my uk doors painted, the problem is everything fits exept the top belt on the harness the hole is their but no thread, as anyone else come across this problem and had a way of solving it, thank you
  7. sorry didnt read your thread properly, sounds more like syncros, or cylinders not pushing out far enough, where did you bleed the clutch from, theirs a nipple on the slave cylinder, and maybe in the engine bay [manual conv] may not have it, have you tried pumping clutch with someone looking at cylinder see if its pushing out properly, good luck,

  10. hello everyone, gonna put my other engine back together as mine is playing up, it as ross forged pistons, have got acl bearings and all the gaskets, was gonna reuse the forged pistons as their in great condition, is their anywhere who supplys total seal rings in the uk, thank you
  11. i did mate and it didnt seem to go, its hard to diagnose as their so much on top or underneath where noise comes from thanks
  12. tried vtc solinoid still their, sold my other car so have had to use it for work today drove 30 miles and its no worse, surely it would have thrown a rod by now,[if bottom end] oil pressure is as its allways been, nearly 120 on cold start up, low not far above 0 on idle when warm, and moves up to about 30 when driving, it starting to make me think cam/lifter fault, if i open the bonnet it does sound like its coming from below where the balance bar is located, any other car id just rip the rocker cover off, but someones put a great big plenum on top just to annoy me lol, as anyone else had a cam/lifter fault, it sort of chatters away, not like the tap the lifter use to make on start up, thank you every1,

  14. i try tomorow mate, didnt think of that, i hope so lol, it does it in neutral and in gear, would it det in neutral reving to 2500rpm it does sound a bit like a load of bearings in a jar, thank you
  15. see mine is not that loud, its god i wish i could explain things better, but im useless at it lol, it sounds more like when a diesal engine is timed wrong on the pump or starved of fuel, looks like its just gonna have to strip it down, i have another engine being put together with forged internals and acl bearings, and have a jap shell which is mint what im having sprayed,[same white as mine] was gonna put engine in shell, drive mine to all that is done then nick interior and panels off mine, so i didnt have to go without a zed or car, and havnt got the money to do it all at once, looks like i just have to get the bus to its done lol, thanks again,
  16. hello mate if its code 21 ignition circuit, id check coil pack relay,wiring, the wiring runs up by the battery, mine must of been breaking for ages, battery rubbed through 2 wires,it stopped dead when i went round a corner and broke 1 wire completley,but the 2 wires could of been touching and maybe showed up as a fault in the circuit, hope you sort it,

  19. its weird its more a rattle, i have had a few bottom ends go and they normally lose power and get worse the higher you rev them, i have drove it home from work 10 miles as only car had their and it aint getting no worse, thank you
  20. hello mate i had a code 21 on mine, it wouldnt start, but mine had no spark,my problem was my battery was not bolted in and had cut loom next to it which goes to coil pack relay, hope you get it sorted mate,

Hello every1, have a problem,was hoping some1 could help me with, my zx tt as a rattle/knock what sounds like bottom end, Its weird cause the sound only happens if i blip throttle around 2500 revs If i rev it high [6000] theirs no noise at all, And no noise before 2500, Put it on a ramp today, and from underneath the car it sounds like its coming more from the top end of engine, I change the oil every couple of months at the worse for mobil 10w 40, and dont do many miles, And its allways around the maximum level {dont use much oil, never needed to top up between oil service] But last few days its been getting a little tappy [lifters] so was gonna change oil, then the rattle/knock came, So i pulled dip stick out [no bloody oil] no oil light came on, and as i say never used oil before, No leaks and aint smoking so i be fu@ked if i know where its gone lol, someones nicked it, I have topped it back up with oil, noise still their and no leaks or smoke, everytime i sort something on the car theirs something else, auto box went [manual conversion] turbos went replaced them, clutch went [replaced] manual box went [replaced] misfire [cleaned connectors] replaced ptu,air flow meter,cas, was running perfect for 2days now this lol, and thats without shocks, bushes, and other little bits i have replaced, any help appreciated thank you, sorry for going on, but got to say it somewhere,dont want to mention it to the misses ,i think she will kill me,lol

  25. hello everyone [again] my mate come see me with his z, running a bit funny, when looked at throttle position sensor,the opposite plug to the one you pull apart to reset tps, as only 2 wires going to it, every other z looked at as 3, pulled covering off loom as far as i can go back and cant find no 3rd wire, anyone know if theirs a wiring diagram anywhere any help appreciated, thank you
